The air in Vegas
How long does it usually take your body to adjust... I noticed a few webmasters including myself just had their skin falling off it was so dry -- seriously it's gross -- I've never had to use moisturizer in my life but it's a good idea to bring some if you go.
thanks for the tip
people from humid areas should buy some vaselines - i get the worst nosebleeds in vegas
was just there for a week. my nose bled 2-3 times a day. still wasn't adjusted after the week, now i'm home and it's humid as shit... been home for a week and i'm still all dried up.
Wow, even when I lived in the South I had no problems with Vegas, just the casino/hotel air systems, of which the Venetian is the worst...
Always have to smoke less than usual or I feel fucking ill there... lots of the nicer places have those misty water jet things out by the pool, though, so just hang around by those.
that could be something... i don't think we went in a casino for longer than 3 hours. i don't see how anyone can live there
Hehe, I live in Phx, just as dry but not the same. The big hotels do something to the air, and that fucks it up -- I have never gotten a nosebleed but I did get dry skin a few times, especially in the winter...
easily enough solved, get some moisturizer... |
Pete what the fuck.... were you in town and did not get a hold of me?... and the air here is great... I been here my whole life... people come here and say it's hot... bullshit.. it's not that hot here... 115 tops.... hot is like death valley 140.... as far as skin goes.... that happends to me when I go somewhere else then come home... I peel like a muther fucker... it should not happen when you leave dry and go back to humid.... if it does then something iswrong....
Shit I thought 92 was hot here :(
dry air is perfect for me
Here in Western Michigan if it is over 75 degrees out the humidity is probably over 90%. When we are in Vegas 105 and dry is WAY more comfortable to me. Never had a nose bleed problem out there.
I love the air in Vegas. My hair was pretty much dreaded when I lived in Atlanta. Now I go to Vegas and every day is a perfect sleek smooth hair day. Moisturizer is probably a plus for the rest of me though.

Been in Vegas for a year now, lived in Texas where it was humid as fuck.
I can tolerate the dry heat a bit more, but come on anyone who says that this fucking 110-120 degree temps is comfortable is clearly retarded. I don't care if it's dry or wet that's fucking hot. And then to top it off when you get in your car it's like 130-150. This shit is just a killer, kills anything that tries to grow. And of course the rest of the town is on water restrictions but the casinos let that shit flow as if it were...well ...water. No fucking grass, hardly any trees, the place looks like the worst trailer trash family's yard. If I had a kid and lived in Vegas and he asked me for a "sandbox," that fucker would have my foot shoved so far up his ass his breath would smell like Nike. |
I've been here about 12 years now and haven't really had a problem with dry skin. The pollution fucks my allergies up something fierce though...

fresh in Vegas? they have no Ocean, or Tree's. wtf are you on? I am from NYC and been all over the place, dry, cold, warm, humid. anything goes, never had a problem. each one of us is different. |
give me Vegas anyday vs NY where today it is 50 degrees
That usually happens when you take a shower. And I bet your dry elbows are sore from being an armchair gangster?!
:thumbsup |

Slow down on the pole smoking and you might see a difference. |

A few other casinos have a noticible smell pumped in but the Venetian is the worst. Just got back from vegas the other day, they're renovating the circle bar in the V that everyone was hanging out at during jan. internext. Wonder what they're doing, maybe installing more bartenders so the service doesn't suck as much :) |
that is sooooooo......hot!!:)
