The air in Vegas

How long does it usually take your body to adjust... I noticed a few webmasters including myself just had their skin falling off it was so dry -- seriously it's gross -- I've never had to use moisturizer in my life but it's a good idea to bring some if you go.

detoxed 06-06-2003 09:36 PM

thanks for the tip

BrettJ 06-06-2003 09:38 PM

people from humid areas should buy some vaselines - i get the worst nosebleeds in vegas

Kris 06-06-2003 09:40 PM

was just there for a week. my nose bled 2-3 times a day. still wasn't adjusted after the week, now i'm home and it's humid as shit... been home for a week and i'm still all dried up.

Kimmykim 06-06-2003 09:40 PM

Wow, even when I lived in the South I had no problems with Vegas, just the casino/hotel air systems, of which the Venetian is the worst...

Interlude 06-06-2003 09:41 PM

Always have to smoke less than usual or I feel fucking ill there... lots of the nicer places have those misty water jet things out by the pool, though, so just hang around by those.

Kris 06-06-2003 09:43 PM

that could be something... i don't think we went in a casino for longer than 3 hours. i don't see how anyone can live there

Kimmykim 06-06-2003 09:45 PM

Hehe, I live in Phx, just as dry but not the same. The big hotels do something to the air, and that fucks it up -- I have never gotten a nosebleed but I did get dry skin a few times, especially in the winter...

easily enough solved, get some moisturizer...

DirtyDanza 06-06-2003 09:53 PM

Pete what the fuck.... were you in town and did not get a hold of me?... and the air here is great... I been here my whole life... people come here and say it's hot... bullshit.. it's not that hot here... 115 tops.... hot is like death valley 140.... as far as skin goes.... that happends to me when I go somewhere else then come home... I peel like a muther fucker... it should not happen when you leave dry and go back to humid.... if it does then something iswrong....

Spunky 06-06-2003 09:55 PM

Shit I thought 92 was hot here :(

Lane 06-06-2003 10:02 PM

dry air is perfect for me

netstarz 06-06-2003 11:05 PM

Here in Western Michigan if it is over 75 degrees out the humidity is probably over 90%. When we are in Vegas 105 and dry is WAY more comfortable to me. Never had a nose bleed problem out there.

AmeliaG 06-06-2003 11:19 PM

I love the air in Vegas. My hair was pretty much dreaded when I lived in Atlanta. Now I go to Vegas and every day is a perfect sleek smooth hair day. Moisturizer is probably a plus for the rest of me though.

voodooman 06-07-2003 12:27 AM

I lived in Vegas for 2 years, moved there from Miami, never had a problem.

Sorry.

sexyavs 06-07-2003 01:14 AM

I used to pack 3 things whenever I went to vegas:

Carmex
Visine
Advil

Man that air on my contact lenses I used to wear was killer.. I looked high rigth off the plane!

Now it takes a few hours..hahah

Chris

I'm so with ya. Moved from Kansas; it was about 75 the week before we moved and I was miserable. It was about 98 the week we did move - sheer hell. 115 in the desert is much more comfortable than 75 in the "heartland". I am prone to dry skin but haven't had a problem...maybe beer has previously undiscovered moisturizing capabilities.

kristin 06-07-2003 03:37 AM

Vegas is perfect, not sure what you guys are talking about! Try going from where I live (Vegas) to Edmonton to Mexico back to Vegas and then bitch about fucked up noses! :thumbsup

RedShoe 06-07-2003 03:42 AM

Vegas is fucking desert. Gross.

BVF 06-07-2003 04:00 AM

as soon as I got off of the plane, I noticed the fresh air....I LOVED the air in vegas...and the cool breezy nights are even better....

sexyavs 06-07-2003 05:02 AM

Condoms?

For what?

I already have everything..

if hell had a breeze it would be vegas air

eroswebmaster 06-18-2003 06:21 PM

Been in Vegas for a year now, lived in Texas where it was humid as fuck.

I can tolerate the dry heat a bit more, but come on anyone who says that this fucking 110-120 degree temps is comfortable is clearly retarded.

I don't care if it's dry or wet that's fucking hot.

And then to top it off when you get in your car it's like 130-150.

This shit is just a killer, kills anything that tries to grow. And of course the rest of the town is on water restrictions but the casinos let that shit flow as if it were...well ...water.

No fucking grass, hardly any trees, the place looks like the worst trailer trash family's yard.

If I had a kid and lived in Vegas and he asked me for a "sandbox," that fucker would have my foot shoved so far up his ass his breath would smell like Nike.

SykkBoy 06-18-2003 06:41 PM

I've been here about 12 years now and haven't really had a problem with dry skin. The pollution fucks my allergies up something fierce though...

Get off the crack you brought along with you, how can the air be
fresh in Vegas? they have no Ocean, or Tree's. wtf are you on?

I am from NYC and been all over the place, dry, cold, warm, humid.
anything goes, never had a problem. each one of us is different.

vegas2003 06-18-2003 07:17 PM

give me Vegas anyday vs NY where today it is 50 degrees

touretts 06-18-2003 08:10 PM

That usually happens when you take a shower. And I bet your dry elbows are sore from being an armchair gangster?!

:thumbsup

Yeah but you suck a lot of cock while there too.

Slow down on the pole smoking and you might see a difference.

Its true, the Venetian pumps all sorts of scents in the air. I guess to hide the smoke smell, but they could tone it down a bit... Reaks in there.

A few other casinos have a noticible smell pumped in but the Venetian is the worst.

Just got back from vegas the other day, they're renovating the circle bar in the V that everyone was hanging out at during jan. internext. Wonder what they're doing, maybe installing more bartenders so the service doesn't suck as much :)

HEARTBREAKER 06-18-2003 08:35 PM

that is sooooooo......hot!!:)
