Arrrghhh! I can't get approved...
 

I've tired four times to get this site approved by OneVerify. I've changed all kinds of shit, I've reworked my tour, I've driven myself crazy.

This is the latest e-mail I got telling me I was denied:

"Dear ______:

Sorry, we couldn't approve your website Interactive Divas.
Your site was not approved because it does not meet the following site requirements:

- Regular sites may have no more than 2 advertising links per page
- No more than 3 advertising links are allowed in regular site tours
- Advertising links in tours must be on the same page as an OneVerify signup script, and below the signup script
- Tours may not have more than 1 advertising link per page
- You have advertising links on your tour pages. Advertising links in tours must be on the same page as an OneVerifiy signup script, and below the signup script. And only one advertising links per page. Please make adjustments. Thank you, OneVerifiy."

The ONLY change that I've made since I got this e-mail a few minutes ago is to remove the hyperlink to my 2257 page at the bottom of the tour pages. (The link to the 2257 info is still intact on my index page, though.)

I'm about to resubmit this fucking thing with NO outside links on the tour pages and see what happens then...is there something I'm missing, y'all? Maybe I've looked at this too much and I'm not seeing something obvious...

They're a fucking bitch to submit to, maybe you should try emailing or ICQ'ing Quentin, he's one of the guys running the show over there.

I can't think of any reason why you would have any outside links (except customer support and 2257). Everything else should lead to your join page - Fuck sponsors and link builders on your pay site - Stick them on your free sites

Finally, some sanity on this board. Keep those tours clean.

You're preaching to the converted here...I just want the surfer to stay on the path i'm leading him down and buy what I want him to...I didn't have any outside links in the first place, the only link off of the tour was to a page with my 2257 info.

No, I wasn't denying that there was a link there -- I know there is. I just didn't realize the rules were THAT harsh, that I couldn't link to a webmaster resources-type page at all. Ok, that's probably it...

Ah - sorry. Misunderstood. And yep - they usually are that harsh. It's even more fun when/if you get a shaky reviewer who decides to make his own rules and count filtering software links for parents. :)

On balance though a nice AVS so usually worth the effort.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate the fresh eyes looking for stuff I couldn't see for myself. Been looking at it too long. I decided to go with AdultLicense for right now, I'm just sick of trying over and over with this one. I'm not gonna give up on OneVerify, I'll try it again later, but I signed up for AL under the ref code in the AVS programs thread, so someone got a little kickback from me. :thumbsup

Well, y'all were right about it being the "webmasters click here" link...I just got off ICQ with Juan from OneVerify and we got it all hashed out. I have to give him props for being so patient with me and helping me out. I swear, I'm not blonde, I'm just acting like one today...anyway, Juan rocks, as far as I'm concerned!:thumbsup

Sorry to say it - but i think whether Oneverify take you on or not, with imagination like that you'll still be drivin' the same car next year as you are now
