MP candidate promotes lap dance contest

An MP candidate in Mexico City is promoting lap dance contests and even hiring strippers to perform after his speeches.

On a recent act in Valle de Chalco, Isaias Soriano offered £12 for the winner of a lap dance contest. He also offered money for the man who could drink most beer in one gulp.

On another occasion he promoted a free male strip tease show for 3,000 people.

Some citizen groups told El Universal newspaper that they are concerned that Mr Soriano is promoting alcohol and prostitution with his acts.

Mr Soriano defends himself saying he is entertaining people.
