Wanna know Buenos Aires?

Buenos Aires is the capital city of Argentina, the most beautiful country in South America and one of the greatest places to live in this fucking planet. It's known for the quality of the food, their meats considered the finest in the whole world. Some landscapes of this great city

That's actually the city that I am considering moving to in the near future if all goes according to plan. Everything you said is true, I just wish it were easier to find info on the laws of doing porn there.

My honey moon was going to be there, but my fiancee doesnt want to travel anymore. I think we will visit Buenos Aires (maybe Bariloche too) next year.

Bobby Vicious 06-05-2003 08:19 AM

I thought that Argentina was in such a horrible mess from an economic view. I understand that it's such a mess over there that they risk pulling down the entire Latin American economy if things don't turn around. Read This

Laws? what laws? There's little enforcement down there.

I am from and grew up in Buenos Aires. Ask anything you want...

I live in Buenos Aires too. Its a great city, like paris.
but, we have 10 people die each day in steals and another kind of crime. But you can eat in mc donalds with only 2 dollars
and rent a house with $ 150.-
I wish to live in usa or europe and just visit argentina for vacations. just my opinion.

10 people each day isn't bad in a city of 10 million.

Porko 06-05-2003 11:16 PM

TheJimmy 06-05-2003 11:28 PM

If you had to pick between living in Beunos Aires or Santiago, Chile....

considering the humidity or lack of, etc and the political/financial climate...which one would you choose?

thanks...serious question as I'm still considering a move in the not too distant future...

Porko 06-05-2003 11:31 PM

the worse is in the summer, the traffic, the noise..
people think like italians and lives like frenchs.
caos and glamour.

Digipimp 06-05-2003 11:31 PM

I'm looking at going into the suburbs of Buenos Aires, maybe Olivos, Punta Chica, Beccar or something, those places are pretty safe and nice aren't they? I know many of the communities I have looked into have security as well that you pay for. I may want to move in the next few months.

Porko 06-05-2003 11:36 PM

yes, this places are more secures.
if you can read spanish please read www.clarin.com
or infobae.com and read a little about this country.
where are you from ?
olivos is a very nice place but a little expensive...

I'm in Texas but for me Olivos is not expensive. My concern is that I would easily be able to reach a train to downtown very quickly. I have been able to find apartments and houses in Olivos for about $350 - $500 US. I don't speak much spanish yet either. I do know that there are a few people I can contact that do once i get there, maybe you could be one of those people too.

Porko 06-05-2003 11:44 PM

you are allways welcome here...
but, "normal" people dont like "americans".
what do you like of argentina ?
I think that is better to live in germany , france,
swiss...you know, first world.
anyway, when you come, just call me.
you will be welcome.

Yes I can understand, but if I can live in the suburbs in a nice secure place for much less money then I can do many more things and stuff beyond porn such as volunteer work for schools and with kids. Is it easy to access a train in Olivos and get to downtown fast? Or are there grocery stores and restaurants and clubs in the suburbs too?

MiLo 06-05-2003 11:56 PM

Bimbo - stop fucking complaining about Argentina already.

Get the fuck out of here if you dislike it so much.

Porko 06-06-2003 12:06 AM

Yes, from olivos to "capital federal" only takes 20-25 ' in train or buss or car.

olivos is like a little hi class zone , with all what you need.
(the presidencial house is in olivos for example).
and is safery.
you know, dont show things like video-cameras or gold things.
buenos aires it's a little europe city in soud america

but, consider to live in a city in the same state (provincia)
like "mar del plata" we have ocean and beach and population is 700.000 aprox. all is near and we dont have crime.
(i'm in mar del plata now).

the good thing is that with just a dollar you can but things.
for example =

coke can = 0.5 dollars
disco ticket = 2 dollars
air plain to buenos aires = 20 dollars
cofee = 0.2 dollars
mcdonalds = 2 dollars
bus ticket = 0.2 dollars
hi class restourant = 6 dollars
beatifull girl sucking you dick = 5 dollars or less.

infobae.com? well, according to your sources of information, now I understand a lot. For those that don't know (I'd say everybody :winkwink: ) the guy is posting as source of information the online version of an ultrafascist newspaper that supports the dissapearing of 30,000 people, Pinochet, and so on. Sad thing, Bimbo, is that you don't have a clue about what you're talking about. For your information, Buenos Aires is almost 16 million people (counting GBA), there's a murder rate of 10 a day IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY and yes, it's dangerous to go around with a gold watch walking down the streets. Same as NY, LA, Paris, Madrid, Rome, and so on. Another thing you "forgot" to say is that there are official stats about the direct implication of your so loved police in the crime rate, and these stats are increasing. You forgot to say that 86% of extorsive kidnapping in Argentina includes at least 1 police as kidnapper, usually all of the kidnappers are policemen. And btw, what the fuck do you have against Italians? I'm Italian, I'd go to Italy at the very same minute I decide to, but I stay here, there's no better country in the world, not even Italy, and the bad times will end, they always do. Now, you funny "sudaca", try to go to Italy and see how nice they'll be to you. With lots of luck, you'll clean the streets. That if they let you enter the country. You've no right to talk all this crap about such a great country, and even less if you don't have an idea of what you're talking about... infobae.com who's your hero? Adolf Hitler?

Man, I work with poor kids and a big part of what I make with porn goes to the kids, some people here knows that and one quite known person who prefers to remain in cognito made a nice donation to "our" kids. We get regular donations from Italy, Netherlands and Sweden, so we don't need much money, we need good people :thumbsup you're invited if you decide to come down here. About your question, Olivos is like any city, it has groceries, restaurants, clubs, malls, its own downtown, yacht club, all kind of stores... it's quite nice, but despite of what brainbird bimbo told, Olivos is more dangerous than Buenos Aires, unless you're in an area with security. The more money, the more risk, you know. But heck, you'll eat steak everyday! :winkwink:

So if I'm streetsmart guy who's used to living in a big city and I don't walk around wearing a lot of jewelry and wandering into unknown places, I'll be every bit as safe as I am here in the US right?

MiLo 06-06-2003 01:38 AM

Is like in every single part of this planet - you need to know where to hang around and which places you need to avoid.

That is why Birdbrain kinda crawled up my skin. He makes it sound like hes doing jail time in Argentina. Maybe he should just fucking move to Paris and stick a croissant up his ass.

Digipimp, drop me a line: [email protected] so when can get in touch and maybe give you some valuable tips about our country.

man, I use to walk down "villas miserias" (it's like "favelas" in Brazil, very poor neighborhoods with houses made of tin and wood), and never had trouble. Of course, I don't go with an Armani suit nor even the last Nike shoes, but if it was that dangerous, I shouldn't be alive, and I wasn't even robbed. Dunno what Mr. Hitler will say, but his city is quite nice too. The best places to live in Argentina are Buenos Aires suburbs (you're right) and Cordoba, the second city in the country. Mendoza is cool, too. And Rosario (where Milo lives) is fucking ugly :BangBang: Buenos Aires is an strange mixture of Paris, Rome and Barcelona with some particular touch. I traveled around the world and always come back to Buenos Aires, its a poison :)

MiLo 06-06-2003 01:42 AM

Moving on to a happier subject: Harvey, now i remember you.. and now that you mentioned.. yes.. i owe you a beer that i promised you like 4 years ago when we were talking about traffic.... lets make it happen at the Killkenny in a few weeks...

I will give you a call today.

Digipimp 06-06-2003 01:43 AM

Thanks guys but take it easy on Bimbo, with all things considered he was still trying to be helpful and offer me advice and although you may disagree with him, we all do have our own opinions and I appreciate hearing all of them.
