Eazybucks.com down for the count?
Hello all,
Well, it finally came to me posting on the board about Eazybucks. About 2+ weeks ago, I noticed my StatsRemote showing a red bullet for my Eazybucks account. So then after repeated attempts, I noticed that http://stats.eazybucks.com was completely dead for a number of days... and continues to be dead even now (like I said, this is about 2 weeks now). However, their main site http://www.eazybucks.com IS still alive and well. I've had a long standing relationship with Eazybucks going all the way back to when all their sites were under the Intergal umbrella with Dean. When I say long standing, I'm serious... we've probably been doing business with them for nearly 6yrs now. And even after Dean and Richard broke off and split into Eazybucks/Intergal, I still decided to promote their sites (although not many in the industry seem to do the same). So, after seeing the stats servers down for so long... I ICQ'd Stacey who runs the finance section of Eazybucks and asked what's up. She's usually very prompt with her responses, I would say no more than 2-3hrs and she's right back with an answer. However, this time around... no response. So I waited another day, and sent her another message accompanied by an email... still no response. I then repeated this 4 more times over the next week or so with no response, so then it was definitely time to take this to the forums. (little added note... each and every time I attempted to contact Stacey on ICQ, she WAS online!!) It's not even so much that they might have closed up shop, because of course that could happen to any company. It's the fact that a group you've been doing personal business with for nearly 6yrs to flat out ignore your repeated attempts at contact, when it certainly seems like they've decided to pull the plug on their revenue program... really makes you wonder. They actually still owe us an outstanding check for about $2k, so we'll see if they make good on that payment. Time will tell I guess... I'll post back with any results.... |
Just a little update on things... Eazybucks DID close up shop. My contact Stacey finally responded back to about a dozen or so ICQ messages, saying she had been "laid off" by Eazybucks weeks prior, and she no longer has ties to them --- and our best course of action was to contact them directly at [email protected] to claim the funds they owe ($2,000).
Well, an attempted email to them of course bounced... because it seems they no longer even have the domain of eazybucks.com hosted anywhere. So long story short... screwed for $2,000, and noone to chase after for it. Any suggestions/ideas? |
