$25 chip would require $250 total bets before you can make a withdrawal. If you bet $5 and tie, then bet it again that's $10 in bets. It goes really fast and usually just the course of getting $50 to $100 ahead you will have played 10 times your bankroll.

If you took $25 and bet then won, then bet $50, that's like playing $75 towards the required bet.

Damn i used to do that a few years ago, allways played the rulette and doubled the stakes for every bet..
