Somebody start a thread on obfuscitronics! I think it seems like a fascinating subject. Can it really speed execution time that much?

Yeah it's how you can encrypt your code so that a theif can not understand it or change it... Trust me this is cool shit -- real Perl programmers know what I'm talking about. It prevents reverse-engineering without having to use a compiler.

Real perl programmers know about perlcc =)

You can go and pick up the de-obfuscators online you know.

This PERL compiler saved my ass. The script was using almost all the server RAM and it runs sweeeeeet now (since 2000 I think).

I'm a coder and I look for technical discussions, but I don't have a lot of time to read and post on boards.
