whats up with the ebay "Buy this info on how to get ps2's for $25" acutions?
 

how do those work? are they legit?

spend the $25 and report back.

They probably tell you to run 5 auctions like this one
and you can buy a used ps2.

I'd like to know as well.

People leave feedback saying "True to his word, etc."

Here's what you do:

1. Set up some kind of company/website that sells whatever it is you want for free.

2. Write to whoever makes what you want telling them you have just set up your company, and ask to be put on their mailing list.

3. Wait a few weeks.

4. You are now on their database. Write to the same company saying you are looking to purchase 500 - 100,000 units, could they please give you a quote for price and delivery times, and one complimentary model for evaluation/demo purposes.

5. Give me the $25 if that works :winkwink:

The deal is you pay $25 dollars for the chance to win a ps2!

It is a scam and was recently in the news.

That's exactly how it works..
There are some sites from which you can request, but you have to prove you own a biz.

I requsted a pen from them a long time ago, nothing yet lol

eBay seems more then happy to collect the fee from this particular scam.
