i have snes, ps1, xbox. and of course the computer.

xbox is my favorite. its the shit. most recent game i got was "Brute Force" just about to go play it too in fact. anyone played it yet?

there is also a warcraft3 expansion coming out, anyone got any info on that?

better yet, does anyone have any original 8bit nintendos? pref. with games :)

I have ps2 and gamecube... I love both, but PC is the best.

Anyone play the new Return To Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory full version?

Anyone know a 'good' review site for xbox stuff? Being the tight ass I am I begrudge paying the equivalent of $10 for a magazine with a DVD on it when all I want is to read the reviews.

My kids have an original nintento, my son is REALLY good at mario :) We have N64, Dreamcast, PS2, and several xboxes. I prefer the Xbox :)

best shooter would have to be quake. nothing can beat that heart pounding action.

i don't play much but when i do it's mainly the good old games on MAME :)

However i have PS1, PS2, Dreamcast and Gamecube

Dreamcast is number 1, MSR (Metropolis Street Racing) is the best car game i've been playing :)

until consoles use a keyboard and mouse, a console game will never have the best shooter.. oh yeah.. and a plasma or LCD tv to play it on.. nothing comes close to 1280x1024.

brute force was pretty good, its almost exactly like halo. but it goes to 4 players, and a person can join in just by hitting the start button. and when you playing you can switch to other members of your squad if no one is playing as themm. but halo is still much better.

Best game Halo via Gamespy.. We've played lots of 4 vs 4 online and always have a blast. Don't like how impatient the people are on Xbconnect if you dont start right away (some of us arent 13yrs with a computer next to the xbox)

I have gigs of roms for mame, raine, nes, snes, genesis, etc and they all play just like im at the arcade except I don't need to keep feeding it quarters (although you could do that).

I rarely play anymore... but it was a fun project to work on!

Yeah, I know the wiring for my buttons is shitty.. so what it was my first project... I have some pics of the box in action somewhere but I can't find them.

I always said that... I hated all consoles until I received a Xbox from a sponsor w/ Halo.

The Xbox games feel a lot like a PC so I like it. I prefer playing Halo on my 52" screen than on my fucking computer where I work.

Almost finished Serious Sam tonight... reminds me of Doom II and I'm getting pretty good with the controller.

To compete online in 1on1s, you can't beat a keyboard+mice. But to relax and have some fun, Xbox is a great choice.

Halo isnt Live yet? I will have to buy another non-modded xbox to play live.

Anyone who thinks Quake is the best first-person shooter of all time has never played Halo.

Quake and Unreal were neck-and-neck until Halo arrived; and considering that Halo was put out *before* the designers knew what all the Xbox could do and couldn't design for a finished product, it's fucking mind-blowing. I cannot WAIT for Halo2!!!

Just finished playing Brute Force last night. GREAT game. The only major problem I had with it though was the third-person view, it's kinda hard to snipe someone on a ledge way up above you when you're trying to look through the back of your own head.
Would I play it again? Hell yeah - it was hard on the "easy" setting, it will be a blast to go through it on the other settings and being able to use each character's different abilities and such. Plus hubby and I haven't even tried the other multiplayer stuff yet; there's a lot more to check out in the game.

Wolfenstein? I rented it, played it for half an hour, put it back in the case and didn't touch it again until I took it back. Yuk.

Red Faction is also another good one to get if you haven't.

I'm always on the lookout for *real* multiplayer games (not just a multiplayer arena-type blow-each-other-up game); co-op campaign games like Halo, Brute Force, etc... if you have any recommendations, let's hear 'em!!

PS - Yeah I like playing on the computer too, but since I got the Xbox I *prefer* playing on it. It's nice to get away from the computer. Lets me go play with the hubby and the boys while relaxing on the couch... and I spend enough damn time in this chair.
