I need something like MPA2..... any other programs out there?
 

Mpa2 is awesome, but they charge too much...
I'm running more than 2,000 su's a month right now, and they want $650 a month for up to 2,000 su's... that is too much... and if you want to buy it they want $13,000... again, too much....

I love their software and their interface, they just want too damn much....

Any ideas?

Everything I've seen is comparably priced. $10,000 and up for outright purchases. Guess you'll just have to bite the bullet.

You get what you pay for. When you are going to buy a program like this its not only what features that the program have that is important, but things like how are thier customer support, will they be there in 5 years, do I get upgrades to the program, can I trust this company, do the owner have a big dick ? ;)

We have been here since 1996 and we plan to stay here for a while longer :) And this is exsactly the reacon why we are not giving away the mpa2 program. It cost money to have 5 programmers working full time, and to have 24/7 tech support. We could of course have sold the program for half, but then I couldnt guarantee any tech support close to ours.

I completely understand garry.... i just want to know what else is out there....

www.adtrackplus.com/ does all the same things I think. The support for it is excellent too.

The mpa2 program is not just a stats program, it is so much more. Its all about staying a head of your competitors and offering your webmasters features that not everone else have.

Yea soon it's built in the system, but I have a couple of other projects to finish, just bought 4 MPA2 programs from Gary so I need to wrap something's up, then we will do it right:thumbsup

It does all those things.

(I don't work for them or anything - necoeds just asked for an alternative, so I suggested the one I use - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it because it's always been rock solid and the support is first class.)

I can afford it easily.... It's just a big investment... and i want to shop around a little first.... And yes, just because i can easily afford it doesn't mean it's not a big investment....... Not necissarily a big investment in the 13g's... moreso in the fact that i'd pretty much have to stay using it for awhile....

The problem I see with MPA2 is that they provide encrypted/compiled code so you cannot inspect to see what is happening. They also have no answer as to how one can certify that they are not doing anything underhanded, saving data, or whatnot with your joins and your join's info other than say '35 affiliate programs use us, they are reputable'. That still doesn't positively assure anybody total security and integrity.

I say functionally, they are the best program, but unless I can have 100% assurance of what's going on with their software running my life's blood, I wouldn't go with them for any price.

True but the code is compiled so you would trust his/her word.
My opinion is this: The risk of getting caught and the consesquences
embedding malicious code into a program like MPA2 would far
outweigh the advantages it could yield.

The fact that the software runs on YOUR server makes it extra
hard to do something like this and get away with it. If the
software was remotely hosted then I would have a LOT more
concerns.

A couple of simple answers for you guys here:

1. We encrypt our code to ensure that it will not be stolen. Like any other serious software company would do.

2. We have been in this industry since 1996 and intend to be here for years to come. To embed any malicious codes into MPA2 would be suicide for us as we have always promised all our clients that we are completely honest. Always have been, always will be.

And that is a guarantee.
