The system is back up now but obviously quite slow as the traffic is high with so many running reports. To reiterate, transaction processing was not affected by this network issue - it was confined to reporting.

To echo what was said before, we can only extend our apologies for the issue this weekend. The incident was given our full attention throughout the weekend and only this morning were we able to communicate a likely repair time with any degree of certainty. Again, the problems were network-related. The issue was not caused by power fluctuations, which our systems are designed to handle. Thank you for your patience over this challenging few days.

Let's do a poll here. How many processing companies have their servers crashing like crazy? The *only* one I have ever had more than one brief outage with was IBill.

What's the pattern? :
[ From Netcraft what's that site running ]
The site webadmin.ccbill.com is running Apache on Linux
Globill, Apache on Linux
Verotel, Apache on Linux
And, direct from Netcraft : "The site cmi.ibill.com is running Microsoft-IIS/5.0 on unknown"

lol. Couldn't have said it better myself! Guess they fell for the "Dude, you're getting a Dell" pitch...maybe IBill should find a geek to rewrite their code so it works on Linux.

Then why did you say it was in the first place

"We'd like to let you know that due to an electrical surge issue that affected our facility in Deerfield Beach, Florida, our iBill CMI system is temporarily down. Attempts to log in will result in a "page not found" or similar error. We're working on the problem and expect it to be resolved soon.

Please be advised that transactions have been processing normally and will continue to do so as we fix the problem.

Thank you. We appreciate your patience."

Make your own minds up but this is all BS to me.

Cindy
