but your statement is rather blanket - everyone withholds info about some aspects of their life. you tell some more than others.

that's not just the porn industry........mind you asking what one does for a living is a common question and providing an acceptable answer without tipping one off that it's porn can be fun. Had gusets over last night and had to do that. They got quite detailed in thier questioning too and they never got a straight answer from me - it drove them nuts.

A short story.

About 6-7 years ago, I went to Manchester UK with two other shooters, one is the the guy who does all the amateur stuff on our site. In those days we dressed "Hippy" pony tails, denims and T-Shirts.

We had booked ourselves into the best hotel in Manchester and were waiting in reception to be served. And we waited and we waited, clearly being ignored by the staff.

A well dressed hooker walked to the reception and was immediately served. With this my patience snapped so I pulled out my credit card and slapped it on the reception announcing we had booked three suites. This got me some attention.

Seeing the staffs reaction my pals also pulled out their cards and demanded service. The staff were all over us practically kissing our arses to make it up to us. The manager personally supervised our luggage being taken to our rooms and unpacked. Plus we got lots of freebies.

I make just some coins in this business and I tell everyone that I make sites when they ask me about my job.

Almost all of them asks for who, how do I get clients, what is the cost of a site. If I say I have just a site their head hurts with so many questions that pops up.

My fiancee lives 3000km (1600 miles) away from me so I travel a bit. Sometimes when she is here we travel too. My college friends didnt understand where my money where coming from. I dress just with surfwear, I love it. I dont even surf (used to bodyboard 6+ years ago, I was so bad but I enjoyed it so much).

I get followed in department stores... I never get asked for help, I have to run after it. I walk into stores asking how much something is only to hear 'too much for you'.

It amazes me how people are literally pushing their clientele away. That guy had the potential to make a fair amount of business off me because I liked a lot of the clothes he was selling but as soon as i said that I laughed and walked right out.
