adaware, you can try spybot, everyone says it's better than adaware, I installed it on another computer and I got the same results

what OS? you should beable to go into you're control pannel and remove it... if not just D/L spybot or adaware they will both take care of Gator and lot's of other junk you probally don't know you have.
