How to monetize a local satire news site?
 

So we just threw together a local news site that is 100% satire, because it is a UK town name, its already getting some type-in traffic from locals in the area (the town has roughly 28,000 residents).

Other than Google Ads, which we just signed up for, what other ways do you think would do well in terms of monetization of this site?

Any advice welcomed.

Merch that references or satirizes the town

trade with local merchants for ad space and give some of the stuff as prizes/gifts for surfers who do something (share on social, send u their email, a selfie with a tat of your url on their forehead, etc).
good way to get free booze, haircuts, eyeglasses, massages, yoga classes, hotel room nights.


etc...
