If you have BitLocker enable.. disable it
this shit will just randomly fuck you in the ass one day out of the blue, encrypt your hard drive and not let you back in unless you have some key sent to an email that you probably don't even know anymore.. I rebooted my PC yesterday only to see a Bitlocker screen asking me for a code to get back into windows because something changed on my pc and it thought it was fishy.... so it encrypted my drive and locked me out. had to format and reinstall again. There is no way around it.
Command Prompt as an administrator, run: manage-bde -off C: |
and never "update/upgrade". anything.

its silly they enable it by default. it used to be you had to enable it yourself.
