I am looking for someone or a couple of you bigger site owners who have a little extra cash they would like to invest.

I have been trying to get some sites off the ground but do not want to go the "re-sell" route by listing other's content. I want to do all my own original content.

I need,

Model contracts
Decent digital equipment
Advertising (for models and sites)
The 750.00 visa MC fees

I think I have everything else??..

I am offering a 60/40 split (partner)? I will do all the work, you will front a little $$$ and collect 40% for your investment.

Or, if someone can tell me how to go about getting an investor, that would be great too. I have never done this before so I am not even sure what step one would be.

I have been running NBDesign for the last 6 years, I have built this business with NO advertising, just word of mouth and have been doing well. I know I can make this work if I had a little working capital.

True... but you have to admit.. I have some pretty good domain names... So, in a sense... no, you cannot create the same sites yourself.

Acutally, for NudityContest.com, I really only need "Prize Sponsors" i.e. someone to put up prize money or gifts.

Sorry to tell you, but domain names are pretty worthless most of the time. Consider some of the top sites:

alsscan.com
karupspc.com
karasamateurs.com
amkingdom.com

What's special about those names? Absolutely nothing. How many people do you think there are that sit around and say "I think I'll type in karupspc.com and see what comes up"? Probably zero. Those names have been BUILT through marketing. Domain names are not the key to success.

If you want someone to give you money you must give them a reason. Create value. What do you have to bring to the table that no one else has?

domain names are only about 1-2% of the site - you will not make money if you base your sale on type-in traffic

Hell, I am not even sure I can be a success or not. I think I can as I stated above, I have been doing pretty good with NBDesign for the last 6 years.

Hell, even if I were to fall flat on my face... what do you loose? a few $$$ that you probally make in an hour. Think of it as a tax right off.

However, as we all know, you have to put in a lot of hours with the adult thing to make money... at first, I will be putting in a ton of hours to get a little return, and will have to let my mainstream go to do this...

I have too many bills to do that at this time.... I really need investors to get this thing off the ground.

HEY NB. i was at the same place as you 9 months ago. I had only my domains going for me and i wanted to start a porn site. i tought with 4 k canadian i could pull it off......... WOW i was wrong

but 9 months latter i now know the biz and got myself a investor this week for 65k canadian. I am starting my site this week and should have it done in a month,,,,,, hit me up on icq or msn and il help you out. even give you my biz plan i used to submit to investors.

Sorry NB, But if your in no hurry, why don't you go the Gallery way?! I'd say by the tone of the others posting here, you'll be waiting longer for cash to fall into your hands than actually working for it!

I may not post here often, I may not be the best at what I do (in fact I'm pretty shocking! *grinz*), but I know that hard work takes you further than sitting back and asking for hand outs...

My advice, for what it's worth, learn how to build/post galleries, learn how to drive traffic and market your sites (Danni.com - eh, didn't you learn anything from the most downloaded woman on the net?! :winkwink: ) or maybe offer your design work to others and build up some cash that way?!

Bill Gates had his doubters. If its a great idea put a bit away and shoot it in the future, dont waste your time pleading for support from a lot of 2 cent hustlers

if you want a investor go get someone that has never done porn before. Adult companies can just do the work themselfs and outside investors tend to ask for smaller % and give you more room to operate :thumbsup
