New here - just launched a cam aggregator
Hey everyone. Been in web dev for a long time and recently decided to jump into the cam affiliate space. Just launched VelaCams - a free site that lets users browse live cam models from multiple platforms in one place and syncs all model streams every 2 minutes. Right now it pulls from Chaturbate and BongaCams, with more platforms coming soon. Running RevShare on both.
Still early days - working on SEO, building traffic, figuring out what converts. Curious to hear from anyone who's been in the cam affiliate game - what actually moved the needle for you in the first few months? Traffic sources, conversion tips, anything really. Happy to share what I learn along the way too. |
That's great. What's your edge over all the other similar cam aggregators out there?
|
Honestly, nothing groundbreaking - the cam aggregator space isn't exactly uncharted territory. My main edge is SEO, based on what I've learned over the years.
Still warming things up, but the first week's numbers are already beating my expectations purely from organic and programmatic pages, which is encouraging at least :D Right now I'm pulling from Chaturbate, BongaCams, Stripchat, and CAM4, with Camsoda coming next. The plan is to keep adding platforms and gradually enrich the content. Beyond that, I'm just trying to build something that's actually pleasant to use. A lot of sites in this niche feel like they haven't been updated since 2012. I'm focusing on clean UX, fast load times, and fairly aggressive caching to keep everything snappy. Nothing revolutionary yet - just trying to execute the basics well and see where it goes. But yeah, in short, this is still pretty experimental and very much a learning experience, so I'm testing different approaches and seeing what sticks. The main challenge I'm running into - and probably the most important piece right now is figuring out how to consistently get high-quality, reliable backlinks. |
Congrats on the launch ! !

I love cam aggregation. The more aggregation the better.

Welcome to the site

Welcome!
One heads up as you scale. If you ever add direct billing beyond the revshare (premium features, memberships etc), get an adult-specialized processor from day one. Mainstream ones will freeze your funds the second volume picks up. Seen too many cam affiliates find out the hard way. Good luck with the traffic grind. |
welcome to the club :p

Funny rollercoaster on the traffic side though. About 2 weeks after launch I got a big surge for around a week (like 40x the usual), then it nosedived back to my previous baseline almost overnight. Same day it tanked I'd pushed out programmatic FAQ sections on the performer pages, thinking it'd read as "helpful content" to Google. Not sure if that's what caused it or if it was just some honeymoon period ending - rolled the FAQs back and things are slowly recovering. Right now my main focus is quality backlinks, so I'm scouring sources for that. |
Hey, welcome to the forum.
|
Where are you getting quality backlinks from? Have you checked out the competition's backlink profiles?
|
Congrats on your launch!!

For a cam aggregator I'd track less "how many visits" and more: free-signup rate, first paid action, repeat visits, and which entry pages send users to the room fastest. Clean UX and speed matter, but the money is probably in knowing which traffic actually becomes a spender.
