why's it so difficult to acquire paid backlinks?

I've been sending around 20-30 emails over the past weeks, asking if it's possible to pay for a guest post. Barely anyone answers and those who do aren't interested. As a webmaster what's there to lose?

I'm a bit surprised by this. Any feedback or thoughts on how to acquire backlinks? I'm obviously willing to pay for them. I'm mostly looking for text-based websites like forums, but anything adult goes.

what sites have you reached out to?

Mostly forums so far, and some cartoon sites. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to list them? But I found them through the porn dude

Before contacting them, it's better to check if they have a blog section with paid articles/posts.

Try here https://hardlinks.org/ :2 cents:

Everyone is over the scam emails for link buyers that they probably just delete yours. You need to show proof of who you are and that you are serious. Buy from some then more will sell to you :thumbsup

I get so many of these every week I have a form letter that I now respond with to everyone with all of the answers to any question you could ever have. But even still you have some dumb ass who is like yeah but ....

Sir just read the fucking email I sent you.

Anywho that's why so many don't respond. Most are just tire kickers and it gets old.

I'm interested in this question too.
I occasionally get asked for guest posts, and more so before my blog was hit by the Google HCU.
I always refuse or ignore them because they are either direct rivals or they have nothing in common with my website.
I'm also worried about getting penalized by Google for it, especially if it's obvious (a post on a topic unrelated to my blog).

But the best sites to have a guest post on are surely those that aren't stuffed with paid guest posts?

Just the other day I was reading my favorite blog on (mainstream) VR and AR (skarredghost.com) and saw that ARPornTube.com had successfully paid for a guest post there. I've never seen a guest post there before, let alone an adult one.

I'm pretty sure that they paid under the going rate too, as the webmaster behind SkarredGhost likely doesn't know how valuable a guest post link would be for ARPornTube.

maybe too much hassle for 40 or 50 quid...

emails back and forth, how much traffic, how many posts every week, how can i pay, oh i donīt use that processor, bla bla bla.

I offer paid backlink on my side, banner or text, but not guest posts.

anyway, good luck with your search :thumbsup

Getting plenty of such mails daily.. feel free to send me a PM if still looking :)

mrmister 03-19-2026 07:17 AM

i delete most of them, most are resellers and dont even mention the site

I dont want to go back and forth talking about stuff only to be offered 100 dollars for a backlink

TheLegacy 03-19-2026 08:36 AM

Its important to make sure you get backlinks that have content similar to your main site or it will work against you. I get a lot of requests but when I start getting specific they go blank - plus when I ask for traffic and domain authority usually the backlink is lower than the website I'm working on. Remember google will check your backlinks to make sure they make sense and are having the same context 0 if not then it won't matter
