My first AI Shortfilm

This took me 2 days and there are plenty of flaws that I could have avoided but I was so impatient to see the results that I rushed everything.

I use this: https://magiclight.ai/?code=umfaoxzc2

I worked the script and prompts with Gemini, I used ElevenLabs for the voices and CapCut for editing and sound effects.

I can see what you're saying - but I was focusing on her face and expressions and they were brilliant. Nicely done

Mr Pheer 01-25-2026 02:13 PM

How much did that end up costing per second of video?

Hard to tell, depends how accurate you are while prompting. There's a lot of trial and error but if you work with the same characters you can re-use extra generations on other stuff. I got a yearly subscription and with that you can make maybe a couple of hours maybe 3 if you manage the credits properly. You can also generate some stuff locally with open source models if you have a good GPU or use cloud based solutions to run models on them using ComfyUI

Nice work! It's amazing what AI can do these days. Imagine the results in a couple years!

Bro it's easy...

How much did it cost you to do this? How long is the video, in seconds?

$total ÷ 483 seconds = $cost per second

No it's not easy, there are 8 minutes in there but it took longer than that in video generation because a lot of times you don't get what you're expecting and you have to regenerate the same 8 seconds over and over again untill your prompt is detailed enought or you get lucky

djroof 01-26-2026 04:26 AM

Nice work !!!

pesa 01-26-2026 05:20 AM

And that's how you keep track of your expense and your progress but what I'm not going to ask anybody a third time for anything... fuck it :thumbsup

I think people in the creative arts have no idea what to charge for their work because the AI workflow is different for everyone.

I've been playing with colour grading to see if I can make the AI videos less... laminated looking.

Nice ( aside the squeaky voice). I know there are a lot of hobbyists, so good luck with your progress and make this hobby give you a lot of fun. Unfortunately, there is no money in this type of product, there are 100s of them all over the Internet looking for clicks. However, if you can figure out how to do interesting erotica you can make a lot of money.:2 cents:

Knew an artist who got comped a two-story building to be anchor tenant for a multi-building very affordable loft housing complex.

Was painting huge wall art downtown and had staff booking his stuff into malls in whole country as events.

Was up in his studio rapping while he painted 3 or 4 of his signature small paintings in about 20 minutes.

He laughed.

Pricing art is not measured by time.

of course.

ART is right there in the name ARTificial Intelligence.

smarts too.

blackmonsters 01-27-2026 09:28 AM

Hollywood spends millions of dollars to produce a movie, and some of them suck.
Using AI for $50 bucks and expecting Hollywood results is not practical.

Facebook feeds are flooded with "AI slop".
AI is killing the internet. It used to be about people; but now its' all about the cheapest way to produce fake garbage for clicks.

:2 cents:

LOL! You mean everybody thinks they are an artist as they churn out pure garbage.

i had to skip after 4-6 seconds . the music is clichee, the pics are cliche, everything is clichee. i admit, ai can be a funny tool, some people manage to put something funny out of it, but this is a uncanny valley horrorshow . try again, maybe focus on a minute and make that good
