Are there any adult production companies that still make full-length adult films with an actual plot, or at least something close to one?

I mean movies like Pirates with Jesse Jane or The Private Gladiator.

Not that I'm aware of, you'll probably get some affiliate rep or producer who will post some low light erotica to claim it's a real storyline but if you watch the full video it really isn't.

Speaking of which, I miss the 90's era of skinemax flicks shot in some tacky fucking house in the valley (probably sherman oaks)... that was the good shit.

They don't even make mainstream movies with a plot nowadays.

But then I'm thinking, wait a second. There's countless threads on GFY of blowhards going "wow if you havent made a million in porn yet you might be a loser" or "oh yea me and my team did high six figures every month, easy money"

How the fuck did 1 million dollars break the bank then? Is everyone in porn lying? Are they really just broke, living paycheck to paycheck hoping that a shoot doesn't cost more than $50,000?????

I love the old Italian porn films! They always had a plot (usually a priest fucking a nun or some such Catholic theme).

So I would check out european productions if that's what you are looking for. Porn parodies is another place to check out.

Let's say you want to tell a story, why would you spend 20 minutes on a guy fucking a woman?
That's 20 minutes where the story is not developed. Even when I watch a mainstream story (the story is not about sex), a sex scene often breaks the story and rarely brings something to the narrative.
(Besides seeing whatever super-hot star naked, but that's not the narration)

That might be your opinion, but why was full length porn movies so popular back in the day? And most popular romance books these day have very explicit sex scenes in them. It would be wrong to say they don't add anything to the plot.
