How was your LAST DAY of 2025?

Oh MAN!!!

Today was wild... when I woke up, I had $3 to my name and an epic day ahead of me

The day prior, I had been pricing out various winter beater vehicles when I came across this absolutely MINT 4WD... Literally posted 3 minutes ago... Low mileage, senior driven, one owner... 2k CAD.

Yes. $1400 USD.

Without even seeing the vehicle, I messaged and asked for a phone number, then spoke to the old man on the phone and said I was going to come and get the vehicle on New Year's Eve... he said that's fine, but he was getting calls already... 3 minutes ago it was posted... So I said, I'll just transfer you the money right now. So I trusted a total stranger and emailed them 2k Canadian...

Then today, I went and picked up the vehicle, sight unseen other than in Facebook photos... and by sheer luck maybe, the old man was there with the key waiting and a signed transfer paper. I picked up a MINT 4WD truck that I can haul the family around in on brand-spanking new studded tires on a MINT frame... for 2k! It fucking rips!!!

Driving it back today, my baby mama had to stop for a pee... so we pulled into this snow-covered parking lot rest stop... and while she pee'd, I fuckin' ripped a whack load of donuts, and when I was FINALLY done... I pulled up to the washroom doors, RIGHT as an RCMP highway patrol car rolled by slow!!! HOLY SHIT!!!! :helpme

Maybe this is a sign I need an AI to watch Facebook Marketplace because I snagged this car within 3 minutes of it being posted, because the old man was honest and happy enough to get 2k and have someone friendly to chat with about his old truck. Need an AI that is nice to old people to get their MINT vehicles cheap! :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:thumbsup

Hope everyone else had a good day... what a day to finish off 2025, new winter beater with a heater!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026!!!! :321GFY

Haha the truck is MINT for 2k, but not this mint! :1orglaugh

I am so old... it is 11:37 PM... barely keeping my eyes open... so ready to snooze... need to go and crack a beer and dunk my head in a sink of cold water and ice!

Huggles 01-01-2026 12:44 AM

Imagine how easy it would be to make it to midnight if I had cooooooooooOOOooOOO...

ooooOOOoooOOoo...

Huggles 01-01-2026 03:40 AM

Okay I made it to 2:39 through the art of interpretive dance, chugging beers, and dunking my head in ice water to see how hard I could party on NYE...

2:40 AM and I'm tapping out, putting "The Dark Knight" batman capeshit movie on, and laxing until lala land!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You got very lucky and the truck looks amazing I was waiting for the story to turn bad.

For me spent with family and stayed up to 1AM celebrating - was happy that last minute got another big client through referral so nice to close off the year way ahead

After my appointment with my smokin hot eye doctor who I have a huge crush on I spent the afternoon in the middle of the lake. Hardly anyone was boating. Beautiful calm with some wonderful sunlight peeking through the clouds.

I have had amazing luck buying and selling on Facebook Marketplace and I already flipped a vehicle and some rims! People are selling Charger and Challenger wheels, the 20 inch ones, for like $400 on Marketplace and you can flip them for like $800, I did that with some snow tires last week.

Also... estate sales. People just give their family's stuff away for pennies on the dollar and you can snatch up some excelsior deals to flip on Marketplace.

Facebook Marketplace has so many people that just want to get rid of their shit as fast as possible with zero tire-kickers and lowballers, but you have to snatch those deals up so fast. ChatGPT gave me things to search with to find these creampuffs... I actually think I will flip this truck after I enjoy it for a couple of days, it needs a wash and a bunch of rock chips I can touch-up on the front... bet I can get $4,000 for this truck once it snows hard!

The only downside to being a Facebook Wheeler-and-Dealer, of course, is it takes a ton of manual work, lowballers and "I know what I got" types are everywhere, and you actually have to leave your house to make any money! :1orglaugh

Score.

I ended 2025 with my favorite pizza and started 2026 with leftovers of my favorite pizzza.

I'm calling that a win.

I've always hated new years and going out on NYE.

Bought a hunk of A5 and a tin of osetra and ate that for dinner with a bottle of champagne. Watched stranger things finale :love2suck

Sounds like a great night!

Maybe the magic I remember was in how everyone on NYE, from what I remember when I was young, was the one night where everyone was generally in a good mood.

I called my daughter and said "Okay well you have a good night and I'll talk to you next year" then followed up the next day with "wow, haven't talked to you since last year!" so I'd say off to a smashing start to 2026.

My kid hit that age where she suddenly thinks everything I do is super uncool, so then I made sure to use 67 wrapping paper on all Christmas gifts, then I started saying "staying up late is sooooo cool" and now my kid goes to bed on-time almost every night! :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh
