Home internet service prices are way too high
I pay $100 a month for internet; but could do the same things on my phone.
I pay my bills on my computer and use online banking; but it also works on my phone without the extra $100 per month. I don't program for a living anymore or run websites either. I just pay bills, do online banking and post on a few platforms. I like ESPN+ to watch the smaller schools football(FCS) games; but I can get cable TV and watch them when they play bigger schools. I still have a dedicated server with nothing on it. Just email. Why am I doing this? I don't want to let go? It became my life, so I can't move on? :helpme |
Why not start by downgrading to a VPS or just switch straight to something like M365 or Google Workspace if you just need a premium email set up?

Do this: Contact your ISP and renegotiate your bill. Most of the bigger providers have customer retention departments and it is in their best interest to keep you as a customer, even at a significant discount. |
who charges $100 monthly internet?
I thought the UK was expensive, Virgin Media charge about $75 for 500m up & down, but this inc. all TV channels... here in Spain, we pay about $30 a month, 300mb up and down, our TV we have 100 English channels on a box we purchased for 100€, now itīs free TV through the internet :thumbsup |

Thanks for the replies.
I'm going to look into the advice here. :) |
I halved my internet/cell phone/tv package earlier this year. it was $150 it's now $75.
They kept adding all the new streaming services onto the main package, and little cheeky increases every couple of months of a few $. I dropped internet from 1 GIG to 600mb and have noticed no difference at all, and I just sign up to one streaming service when I know they have a stash of programs I want to watch, binge it for a month for a few $ then cancel. |
comcast is $65

Bluetooth your phone's internet to the desk/laptop, if "unimited data" is cheaper than the ISP.

^what she said, just use your phone as a wifi hotspot. If you really have unlimited data, problem solved.
