Alright, quick question for Paysite Owners!!

I'm building a new members area for a site, and I am at the Members area look and feel part.

I did some tests with AI and got some nice results I could pass to my dev, or I could go with a 3rd party company such as https://www.amember.com/ that works well with CCBill.

Best is to develop your own custom members area, nothing worse than depending on 3rd parties when it comes to your own members.

we are way beyond building paysites from scratch. the upside isn't juicy enough. get it done fast and start marketing.

This is often what I am called on by clients to create. Custom solutions ensure that you are unique, but they also require more effort, patience, and maintenance (to some degree).

Whether it's a custom solution, or one of my SaaS offerings, this is what I model my software on:

• Start off by keeping it simple and get it working. You can always get it perfect later.
• Gather feedback from the customer and build new features to meet those expectations.
• Integrate and build solutions that reduce customer service stress and increase retention (don't forget to retarget users).

Even if you go with something like WordPress, as long as you keep your focus on doing it right, you can continually iterate toward a more perfect solution for your needs.

Starting off with a working members area. Does your user base want interaction? Add comments, ratings, and likes. Make cancelling easy, but retarget them on the way out. Upsell, convert, and encourage retention through rewards and things like saved scenes. Automatically retarget users when they login (this is one of the most effective features of my login SaaS). Start off simple and keep adding as you succeed.

the build is easy, but you have to implement changes as member and MARKETING requirements change.

most of that shit has been figured out over the last 20 years. we serve millions of members a year. its all about stats.

the fastest growing site we ever hosted was non-exclusive and asked the members to vote on the content they wanted to see next. every week he bought and posted the most popular vote. easy fucking peasy.

if you have the time and feel like growing some shit, its fun tho.
