ChatGPT 5
What do you guys and girls think of it? Most users seem underwhelmed, but it's the first AI tool that I've used that can do pretty much everything for me (leaving aside porn tasks).
It's crazy how we so quickly take tech for granted. If you showed somebody ChatGPT 5 just 3 or 4 years ago, people would think they had been transported into a sci-fi movie. |
It tried its best attempt at being censored like Gemini, but simply clicking "Regenerate Response" has bypassed these attempts 100% of the time for me, unlike Gemini (0%).

it's a good all-around every day use model. what openai did this update is made chatgpt even more user friendly - users don't even have the option to pick a particular model for a task, chatgpt does that for them.
PS. opus 4.1 ftw! |

Is it me or is AI getting dumber, not smarter?

LLMs now are trained on rapid accumulation of data found on social media sites and through interactions with its users. Most people have decided to abandon empathy. Overtime this likely spoiled the tight controls for the sake of keeping the datasets fresh with new information. No one wants to use an LLM that is 3 years behind on data. |

But hey, in two years it will be almost perfect. AI is still in its infancy. |
I like it. I can definitely see the improvements.

Dunno, but i won't pay a dime to openai to use chatgpt.. It pisses me off, that it plays dumb, and once you hit a critical point in the conversation it just locks you out saying, your free tier is over, or something like that.. dunno what the message exactly is.. Gemini, on the other hand, can answer, code, has vision etc. more then enough for me tbh.
