was messaging with a new fan on OF the other day, and while he was messaging back, he said, i know this is probably AI or a bot, but it´s still nice to speak with you...

I spent 10 mins chatting to him and yes, he now knows my DM´s are not a bot, but oh boy, was so concerned at how the world is becoming, how AI & bots make people not realise what is real & what is not :(

51% bots is a good day. I've seen higher numbers.

If i require the user to email me, and then i email back a un/pw for access beyond the landing page, could that user still be a bot?

The first question I had when AI was being used to write editorial and marketing content was, "who with money is reading it?"

So much focus has been pointed at SEO and automation, my thinking was, great, we've got content written by AI to be read by search engine spiders, and neither of them are spending money.

But head's up, I've got a new trick on YouTube. Even with the warm bodies making their own content, when it comes to clickbait, I'm no longer sitting through 5-30 minutes of chatter to get to the point. If there's a news piece that looks like an important note buried in slop and sponsorship, I'll go right to the transcript and read what I needed to know.
