Consumption Junction Traffic
 

Anybody who bought CJ traffic happy with it? I know some folks like having them as affiliates, but I don't know anyone who has actually purchased traffic from them and am wondering what other people's experiences have been. Good return on investment? What sorts of sites do they seem to convert best for?

Amelia...i actually managed to do very poorly advertising a very well known adult program on CJ. Having said that, I did some research into the reasons behind it after the ad campaign was over and i think i can give you some usable advice based on what i learned.

As with anything, think about the target market.

CJ is filled with visitors, yes. Good, porn buying visitors, IF you have what they want.

Something outside the box should work well with them, but I can't see just another teen site doing much, for instance.

I first came across CJ because one of my models was flipping out that her pic had been posted there. Which maybe means that their surfers are all just dying for some pasty-faced blood-soaked dominatrix ultra-vixens. Or might mean that they have a collegiate audience which will look at whatever but may not buy my stuff.

But all this (and cool1g) reminds me that I was planning on buying some spotbrokers traffic tonight.

in general I dont think CJ exploits their traffic enough. For uniques niches you can squeeze some nice results!:2 cents:

If her pic was posted there, it might be a good idea to read the comments users posted about it. That might give a slight indication of what the CJ crowd think about such content.

Darn. That is a great idea, but I was not that familiar with their interface at the time and just had them remove the pic as fast as possible given that my model was really really really unhappy. I think I will click around and see if they have anything related. Of course, that generally means something else snarfed from one of my sites, but . . .
