Dot porn vs sex vs xxx
Hey,
Which of these is more preferable for a highly sought after keyword, like lesbian or milf? Or are they all equally garbage? :pimp |
All pretty generic so lots of competition I would say.
|
For highly sought after keywords like "lesbian" or "milf", here's how the domain extensions compare:
.XXX:
.PORN:
.SEX:
For high-value keywords, .XXX appears to have the edge in terms of industry recognition and established presence, though each has pros and cons. Many adult site operators actually maintain multiple domain extensions (particularly keeping a .COM alongside specialized extensions) to maximize visibility and avoid potential filtering issues. The effectiveness ultimately depends on your specific SEO strategy, target audience, and whether you're more concerned about direct navigation or search engine visibility |
Dot com or Dot AI is hot

I see there were a few other posts while writing this, so in addition to what was said.... I think no matter how many extensions come out, .com will always hold the most value, in terms of trust, rankings, and what people will remember. You can rank any extension in the top results, but with so many other factors, at the end of the day, I personally would go with a .com, like milfkeyword or keywordmilf for your main site. Thelegacy provided a good comparison on the domain extensions you were asking about. So, if you have the funds and time for it, grab the other extensions mentioned, build landing pages and use those to promote your .com But really, how important are names? Look at reddit, what does it even mean? Clearly, that's not how you spell "read" or even if you say "red", what's the extra d? And yet they rank well with a misspelled, sort of made up name. It's definitely not a keyword name. So, was it good branding, luck, combination, or other factors? Many other similar examples, so who knows. I do know that personally, I would go with a .com |
Thanks guys :thumbsup:2 cents:
Really appreciate the input! Picked up some one word high traffic categories in .porn and .sex mainly at a discount last year and they are up for renewal. It's for future branding potential, yes These are broad keywords so no TM issues hopefully. Cheers :pimp |

.com is not in the question, so why bring this into the thread? |

Thanks guys,
Just trying to work out which if any domains with porn extensions are worth renewing. Got them cheap last year and ofcourse these aren't cheap to keep. They are either one word and/or top searched porn terms :helpme:pimp |
Maybe info is out there about which TLDs after com are trusted best.
Those TLDs you mention make it easier to ban and block. |

and if we, adults with websites, had all gone .xxx, maybe this could have been an easy way for parents to place parental control on their children phones & not have all this AVS problems that have now risen... besides, if you´re getting personal calling me grandma, at 45, then you´d better put a parental control on your wifi & stop logging into adult sites junior :thumbsup Quote:

do I think .xxx was/is a racket? yeah
Nat, that's your choice and you do you .xxx being bullshit and you being hot are not two mutually exclusive things. for a 'gramma' at 45 you're pretty damn fine :) but yeah, re thread topic; .com |

but yeah, re thread topic; .com[/QUOTE] :thumbsup |

and yes, of course the .com is better, it´s better than a .es, .co.uk or any other tld, but then if you´re wanting traffic or business in that certain country or environment, then the others are perfect too :thumbsup Quote:
so i still continue to say, if out of the 3, the guy should maybe keep them if can afford them or go for the .xxx in my preference from the other 2... |

I give a good time to anyone above legal age, 18 to 100... this guy´s name is Steve & he´s a swinger. A great guy & yes, a grandpa, he´s 71. Nothing wrong with that! Steve´s probably more energy than most 30 yr olds! Goes golfing 3 times a week, playing for the local cricket team & runs a few quiz nights at a few bars on the Costa Blanca. Not sure where you´re going with your post above, but still, hope you enjoyed the video & thanks :thumbsup |
.porn contains the actual keyword, but .xxx is a standard in adult. Either way, avoid all 3 of these. No .com = bad for business
