Is there a bank in Canada that opens Euro bank account?

I'm looking for a Canadian bank that would allow me to open an account in Euro$$ ...this account would have to allow me to receive and make payments in Euro $$$. Anyone knows if there is a bank in Canada that offers this service?

Most bank should allow you.

Although I hate them, try Royal.

Yeah Royal is a pain in the ass to deal with - Esp. business accounts.

All Canadian banks are a pain in the ass though. Fuck if they merge any more its only going to get worse.

Competition is key, its very limited now and if the banks got their way there would be none.

Then they could jack up the ATM fees another few bucks, and laugh at everyone not making 1 billion a year in profits.

Intesa Bank of Canada

If you want good service in a bank, your best bet is a really small branch.

You make sure you meet everyone before you open the account.

Then you keep sending them gifts every month (they love that shit) and they'll treat you right.

Good ole' bribes.

I keep my money under my matress. :)

I just take out big withdrawls when I use an ATM so I don't have to go 3 times a week or some crap and end up with 40$ a month in service charges.

On a business level that won't work though :)

I have been doing some checking on this myself and have found that the only bank that will offer a Euro Savings Account for deposit only is the HSBC.

You can also do off-shore with them, if you have 5,000 Euro to deposit on account opening.

I have heard than canadian Banks are anti pimp institutions. Beware of telling what you are doing.

True, for business I use CIBC for the most part, been with them for 5 years, no problems.

I also use TD for some of my non web business accounts. Not bad either.

Tried using Royal bank for business - pain in the ass.

And I use royal for personal ... go figure.

Fucking banks!

HSBC is kinda cool, they are more international thank the others but have a smaller canadian presence.

Prb. some of the nicest bankers I've delt with...

National bank and Royal Bank do offer Euro accounts but you can only deposit or make payment by wire transfers. I'm looking for a checking account in EURO.
