who is moving to microsoft TEAMS?
seems is mandatory, or not? who is doing it?
seems a long process I don´t want to fuck up my browsers |
I will stick with Telegram
|
I wouldn't suggest using it for anything in adult
the ms literature emphasizes that teams will be all-ages and that it will also use AI from copilot (ergo tracking calls and text messages and picking up on adult-related themes) that means even discussing an adult website could risk a ban of your ms account skype is switching to teams but it's not mandatory to use it would suggest using discord or tg instead |
Why folks haven't migrated to discord is beyond me. It's perfect for this.
|
Why it is better?
|
Seems everyone of my clients went to Teams and much of the industry except for a small few are on Teams too. Only one industry person I know is on Signal.
I assume Discord has a reputation of a games platform and few have given it a chance |
I moved to Teams, but licensing was a bitch.
|
assuming this is based on skype closing? I haven't used skype in years.
check out slack. DMs work great I set up a private channel for each client - and hook in website services, downtime alerts etc easy peasy. |
People are saying contact list is not transferring well to teams. we moved to telegram and or signal with everybody else.

I'm trying discord next.. |
I'm using telegram to replace skype. I don't need to manage a lot of contacts i guess teams is better if you have more than a handful
|
i dont have anyone who wants to talk to me... :(
|
I already did...even though I don't like it a bit.
|
I sale 6 digit ICQ.
Much prestige. Willing to trade for bob & vajeen. |

This sucks. Our industry went from ICQ to Skype and everything was great. Now... We are all over the place. Some of us on Teams, Slack, Discord, and Signal.
Ironically..... When I first met Steve Lightspeed online (1997?) we used a little chat program called chat.exe. You had to email each other your IP address to talk. |
Tried out Teams for a few weeks and it fucking sucks..
Messages from mobile stops being delivered, alerts doesn't show, alerts doesn't go away etc.. So trying to embrace Telegram now |
I used Teams before, and it worked fine, even though it is more like Zoom, created mostly for video calls, imho.
Discord I like the most so far. No real issues, easy to use. Telegram, not so much because the person you are chatting with can delete the whole chat history, and, as far as I know, you cannot do anything about it. Someone should create a GFY chat app. ;) |
Pretty much all my contacts moved to Telegram.
0 contacts on Teams. No plans on using it. |
I´m now on Teams, discord & Telegram for skyprivate as this is the direct cam systems they offer...
we were already on TG signal & whats app, personally I prefer whats app for cam & chat with friends, family & work :2 cents: |

Most will figure out Teams.
A lot are already on Telegram. Signal? No. |

|
I can recommend element.io open source + very safe
|
I am on teams now, very light ram and easy to use :)
|

after screwing skype and linkedin, and trying to poison everyone.
will stick with wechat which is ok as long as one doesn't say their supreme leader is a big fat moron. |
Most of my Skype contacts have moved to Telegram, one has asked me to go back to emails, and there's a couple who prefer Slack.
I think I'll only move to Teams if it's absolutely necessary, but so far no plans. |
I migrated to team but I believe we will be doing telegram as well
|
Teams is good, Telegram is shit

Does anyone know how to solve the problem of not seeing Teams messages you've sent in a mobile thread on your desktop threaded teams? It's like I have two installations running and it's really frustrating.

Does anyone know how to solve the problem of not seeing Teams messages you've sent in a mobile thread on your desktop threaded teams? It's like I have two installations running and it's really frustrating. ChatGPT said: Yes, this is a known issue that can happen with Microsoft Teams across mobile and desktop versions, usually due to synchronization problems or inconsistent cache data between devices. Here are steps to resolve it: ✅ Step-by-step fix: 1. Sign out and back in on all devices Sign out of Teams on both mobile and desktop. Restart the apps. Sign back in. 2. Clear Teams cache on desktop Windows: Fully exit Teams. Go to: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\ Teams Delete the contents of the following folders: Cache Blob_storage Databases GPUCache IndexedDB Local Storage tmp Restart Teams. Mac: Quit Teams. Open Finder and go to: ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams Delete the same folders listed above. Restart Teams. 3. Update Teams Make sure you're using the latest version on both desktop and mobile. 4. Check Threaded Chat Behavior On mobile, if you're replying inside a "channel thread", it should appear threaded on desktop too. However, Teams chats (1:1 or group DMs) are not threaded like channels — if the messages are missing entirely on desktop, it’s likely a sync issue. 5. Try the new Teams client Microsoft has released a new version of Teams ("New Teams") that's faster and more stable. If you haven’t switched, look for the toggle or banner on your desktop app to upgrade. 🛠️ Additional tip: Log in to Teams Web in your browser to check if the messages show up there. If they do, it confirms a local sync or cache issue on the desktop client. Would you like a script to automate clearing the Teams cache on Windows? |
I always used skype, telegram and whatsapp.
Now activated teams also. So everyone can find me and contact me when they want to use other app. |
Good bye skype contact :(
