Traffic Trading

Hi there,
Just wanted to know who here is a pro in starting a traffic trades? Would you teach me for a percentage of trades or for a cost? If nobody is available, where can I find a good resource for starting them up and maintaining them and all the secrets to finding cheaters?

where is the problem?? what happened when you tried it yourself??

HS-Trixxxia 05-30-2003 06:48 AM

Problem? No problem, haven't tried it. Generally, I don't try anything that I know nothing about which may potentially ruin any relationship or reputation I have. If I have to shoot from the hip not knowing what I'm doing and fuck up, I don't want to lose my 'name' with people thinking I was trying to fuck with their traffic or their trades.

Bumpity bump bump......
There has to be someone who wrote something on this.....
Or did you all know this and were great at it naturally??

Theres a book you might try..

Trial and Error

it might help you. :)

Trial and error gives you a great disadvantage if the competition already know what they are doing. Teaching the competition what to do, on the other hand, is just plain stupid.

Good luck!

haha 4Pics, that's not an option in this case (for me at least) I've been known to be a risk taker when what I was risking was mine and involved only my life. When you are dealing with others reputation, traffic and sources of income - you don't fuck with that. Plus, you risk ruining any name you have tried to make for yourself in this business and pray for someone with some clout to speak up for your integrity. No thanks.

punkworld - I'm not asking someone to teach me and get nothing in return - how about a percentage of the traffic is being sent to his own trades?

Unless you plan on pulling some stupid tricks I'm not sure what your problem is. How can you fuck up this great 'name' you have if you follow the traders rules?

there are so many ways that people look at trading traffic, it is impossible to say which is THE way

find the way that works best for you

I have 5 different websites that make me money. Every single one of them does it in a different way with different traffic needs and approaches. I don't think there is an answer. It took me three years to get things tuned. Trial and error. Nobody gets pissed with you if you make an honest mistake with a trade. Just don't intentionally fuck with them and you will be just fine.

HS-Trixxxia 05-30-2003 01:14 PM

TheHammer - I know nothing about trading traffic - actually less than nothing. I don't want to start trading and find out later that someone decided that it wasn't good enough for him and come back here with some comments. If someone I'm trading with has fucked something up that in turn fucks up the next guy that gets my trade, does that fuck up my chances or is it even possible to note? I just don't know enough about it and want to know where I can learn more - plain and simple. There must be a general code of conduct and knowledge written up somewhere.

As for my name - it's quite important for me.....little as I am, if you have a code of conduct and keep it across the board in all dealings you do have a name and when someone needs a reference on you, it can make up for your lack of something else.

Steve, I'll most likely have to dig up in more of the resource sites to find the answers I'm looking for. Thanks.

Thanks netstarz, that makes sense.

If you care about the ceaters then try CjOverkill (see signature). If you do not feel confortable with it, then you can try Lane's CjUltra.
Of course I would recommend you my own script as it has several nice cheaters protections and some security features other scripts do not have.

About how to find trades... just take a look at several TGPs. Then take a look at their trades and see how much traffic do they send to them, so you can figure how much traffic will they send to you. After that setup a trade and babysit it for a day or two. If the trade goes up, then keep it. If not, then drop it and search another site. Having 12 good trades is better than having 500 bad ones. Make shure to have about 5 small trades, so they will get your traffic overflow and you will get some small amounts of traffic from them in exchange.
Do not add 5 trades in the same day, add trades one by one. adding 5 trades in the same day will only fuck your other trades as they will starvate a bit.

Hope this will help you

Thanks PowerCum, that's very helpful and I'll be reading more on it this weekend!
