formatting on windows xp
 

how do i format a fucking windows xp computer? i can't even figure out how to get into only ms dos to do this.. anyone know how?

Its under accessories.

you can't run ms dos thru windows... or it won't allow you to format.. becuase windows is in use.. you have to be in only ms dos mode

Use a boot disk.

You have to boot off the XP cd and then you can delete the partition and redo it.

Or...

and get a win98 one and reformat that way, but it'll take you 10* longer.

i duno but my laptop just shocked the fuck out of me and i think i lost feeling in my hand.. that's the second time my hp laptop did this shit .. last time i got a free laptop :(

for win xp you can make the boot disk like this:
put in the floppy, right click on a: and chose format.
then check create boot disk.
