Getting high quality traffic is an art form these days and not a simple solution. Read as much as you can and take advantage of the network here but it can be done

Traffic is so easy to get in mainstream now with all the newest tools that have been coming out, and social media networks that are easy to penetrate, I dont see why people bother with the struggle of getting adult traffic these days.

If I was starting out today or starting over, I wouldnt be wasting my time on adult. The adult dating traffic that I do have these days is either from SEO or links to the domains that have been up for years and years, or from people clicking creative links from my mainstream sites.

Care to elaborate? I know mainstream blogs have been decimated by Google 'helpful content' algorithm updates. I had a few sex toy review blogs that were doing well, and overnight they had zero Google traffic. I could do reviews on YouTube, but I don't really have the personality for it.

Ah but saturation is a good thing. It means the market has been proven for you. Now all you have to do is identify if the market is large enough for yet another thing in the crowd.

I'm in a market that is hugely saturated, yet the crumbs that fall down are highly lucrative.

Do people "surf the web" anymore or just stay on their 1-2 big sites or social media?

To me, surfing the internet just seems broken. The magic of typing a search term into google and then clicking through the pages, you could find all sorts of info, whacky shit, and entertainment. Now? Dead Internet Theory seems real, as you no longer stumble upon interesting shit when surfing. Feels like the .com is pretty dead and just having a page or a profile on a big social media site is where things are at. Remember on pages when Wordpress comment fields were so much fun and people kept coming back for the gossip and long comment chains? Obviously that stuff is LONG dead. That stuff all moved to the big ponds of social media, rather than some dipshit's .com and blog page.

But how to monetize it, or get it to your site? That's harder too.

Not hard at all, if you own the subreddits...you can place links and banners anywhere you like.

Yeah, thanks. Does Reddit allow banners? People complain all the time about spam and imagine any overt ads will get people to complain.

My first website in the late 1990s someone reached out to me and wanted to pay me $1k to put a banner to his preggo site on my bikini site. The check cleared, and I put the banner up. The next month he wanted to put up two banners.

Back then it was really easy.
