Verotel closing all of it's affiliate programs

So we noticed that the last two weeks no sales and rebills were showing in our Verotel affiliate dashboard.

We contact the Verotel team and this is what they responded:
"We unfortunately had to stop our affiliates program last week."

Since there was zero communication about this I thought I'd give a heads up for the affiliates on this forum...

Unbelievable!

femdomdestiny 11-06-2024 08:43 AM

Who set this trend in the industry? Scumbags from Epoch?

Tim 11-06-2024 08:59 AM

Is there still a way to be affiliate of something ?
If yes, how ?

mechanicvirus 11-06-2024 11:14 AM

Oh shit, there's still a few sites on there like Body In Mind, Sanktor, Chocolate Models.

Wonder what will happen next.

fuzebox 11-06-2024 11:17 AM

Running the affiliate program and sending commission payments on the behalf of someone else could take on a lot of extra risk and liability that was probably not worth it for Verotel.

Any of the verotel programs that want to maintain their affiliate channel will have to move to NATS (is there a cheaper affiliate tracking solution that supports Verotel? I have no idea in 2024.)

AmeliaG 11-06-2024 02:46 PM

YMMV but my experience with Verotel has always been that they are bad payers.

Yep, I was actually surprised I was still getting paid by programs on Verotel since around 2019-2020.

todservices 11-06-2024 08:57 PM

I used Verotel back in 2002-2006
Did not even know they were still up and running

Doesn't BiM offer ccbill or Verotel? Not that ccbill is necessarily better lol but it's an alternative

Nice, but you should use NATS if you want affiliates, that's what they trust. Many affiliates won't sign up these self-developed affiliate platforms.

why people were surprised? They were reliable till this moment. Their problem was the lack of sites using their service

Exactly. Besides that, many webmasters won't signup to multiple programs to spread their revenue. This is why CCbill and Verotel were cool, all revenue comes in one place.

Reliable, yes. Surprised because a lot of affiliates probably weren't making the minimum payout from Verotel often, considering a lot of the sites on there were smaller operations.

I promoted mostly lesser known nude art websites and niches like stripclubs, strippers. Most people promote Brazzers and Onlyfans leaks now so yea.

fris 11-07-2024 01:56 PM

i never liked their linking structure

femdomdestiny 11-07-2024 08:04 PM

The situation is worse and worse. Anyway, anyone knows what this crap means? (chaturbate)

In compliance with GDPR regulations, we will soon discontinue affiliate cookie tracking upon ad load, and to better align with such regulations we will instead measure upon ad engagement. Therefore the 'Unique Hits' column in your stats page will be 'Engaged Hits'.

HTMwrestling 11-07-2024 10:02 PM

Well this sucks. Wasn't getting much, but it was enough to cover hosting fees.

I think it means the cookie won't be placed when the ad loads, only when it's clicked.

Why not redirect your traffic to CCBill-powered affiliate sites?

V_RocKs 11-08-2024 11:10 AM

I used to love them. For much the same reason I used to love, and kinda still do, CCBill. I could promote 250 piddly ass programs (and five large ones) and aggregate the payouts into one lump sum. While I still do great with CCBill, Verotel sites have shrink in numbers and traffic.

This is what I noticed too, around 2008 or so Verotel was quite strong in the celeb game and had a ton of sites like that on there. Of course we all know what happened next, I noticed tons of sites not being on Verotel anymore come 2010 and later.

HTMwrestling 11-08-2024 08:32 PM

Is there a list of open CCBill affiliate programs grouped by category?

Because, in the UK at least, unless I'm missing something, it seem impossible to pay checks into a bank.

NickBaer 11-10-2024 02:57 AM

Mojo has am affiliate program. Link in my sig. CCBill has an affiliate program, but unlike all of their other programs, the new customer has to mention us by name, which is a bit of a joke..

INever 11-10-2024 04:16 AM

At one time, it was possible to use Verotel to process one's site without paying the annual MCVISA fee.

Verotel closed that loophole in ~'14.

Thanks for the good years before then...

And the other ways CCBill pays out are not available in the UK it seems.

Dibar 11-11-2024 06:13 AM

I used to work with them for a long time, but mainly with just one sponsor (and a couple of really small ones). They dropped Verotel (or Verotel dropped them) just a couple of months before the current event, so what's happening now has no further consequences for me. Still, it's sad to see companies which allowed convenient "mass collection" of funds from smaller sponsors shut their doors like this.

Currently, you can receive ACH transfers to a Wise account, which is a global financial instrument available to all countries.

BodyInMind has a CCBill option, so you can at least swap their link out to a paying one.

I have a feeling I know what program you are talking about. I was promoting several sites from a network on verotel and they got canned at some point about 3-4 months. Problem is that several popular free sites still promote their content.

FatBastard 11-25-2024 05:26 PM

Thanks for posting this I was wondering why there were no sales this month.

BigFurry 11-26-2024 06:34 AM

If any of the sites switch from Verotel affiliates to NATS or CCBILL, please add info here!

BodyInMind: Body in Mind: Our Partner Program
Fit18: https://team18cash.com/
Sanktor: https://partner.sanktor.com/
StasyQ: https://stasyq.online

Trying to fill the list as I go along, but this is all I have for now, some programs have not switched yet.

ask the banks if you can take a picture of the check and deposit via their site or app. that's the popular stupid thing they're doing in the us.
