Refer or not to refer...?
 

I used to never sign up under everybody, because I like making money for myself and only myself. On the same note, I never used to give out my referral code unless someone asked for it, don't really like the idea of free money. (Yes, really.)

But about a year ago, I lost a ton of cash because of family issues, and a check from a sponsor that I hadn't sent anything to in months appeared for the month, at about $2000, and helped with some immediate cash flow issues at the time. One of the guys who had asked my for a referral has continued to get me that check, sometimes double, but usually about the same ever since.

Now I don't have a problem signing up under people, but still rarely give out a ref id. How do you money grubbing fiends feel about it?

I doubt that someone on GFY has anything against putting webmaster ref. coded in sponsor url's... :2 cents:

referrals are a marketing tool for companies to drum up additional business. if you don't want to use them then that's up to you, but i tend to use them when the opportunity arises.
