your question doesn't make sense
if you're copying DVD's, a DVD writer will do that obvious really |
Your average movie is 4.7gb x2 as they're double sided. You'll find maybe 100 older titles that'll fit on 1 DVD without doing some major cutbacks and quality reduction.
HPs are a piece of shit from what I've heard. Sony is best, Pioneer is second best. |
okay
can you actually get writers that write to both sides? I don't need that, but sounds interesting if possible ... |
so do the writers write on just one side or both?
|
no, he means double-layer, the movies you buy in shops are DVD9 which means they use dual-layers so they can fit the movie on 1 disc. Retail dvd writers can't write DVD9 the last time I checked so in my opinion there is no point in getting one yet.

I suppose those could literally be double-sided, but I don't think so. SpaceAce |
I need one for content archiving and as an easy way to get content to my designers. 2 or 3 dvds is a lot easier than burning 25 cds.

i got this spam yesterday for a program that makes DVD's on regualr cd-roms and can take vhs and make them DVD's...was only $39.99...looked like quite a nifty little program..wish i could remember wha tthe hell it was called...it somehow turns yor cd rewriter into a dvd re writer..
