    Tech Porn Crowdfunding, is this a thing?

    Is there already an established crowdfunding platform for porn?

    I.e. there would be a model who only does solo, but would do BG for 20k, no prod pays that in advance as that scenes gets pirated anyway within 24hrs, but it could be crowdfunded to see if there is enough demand and instantly covers the cost.

      ManyVids, OnlyFans and Loyalfans have some sort of fundraising feature IIRC, but a standalone platform? Not that I'm aware.

      Feel like a few custom platforms tried that but all fell off by the apocalypse in 2020. Guessing processing issues make it too difficult.

                      Yes, Jason Maskell from the UK tried to launch a crowdfunding platform.
                      I believe he said that it was shut down due to processing issues.

                      He appeared on Bruce's podcast talking about it, iirc.
                      Hes been on twice - Episode 30 & Ep 92.

                      Perhaps if Bruce is reading this, he can tell us which one it was?

                              Will never happen. Anyone with the resources to launch this as a business won't, there's no business case. I'm sure more people will pretend to try and then disappear.

                              Also the example is silly, if there's a desirable girl out there that won't do hardcore for $2k but would for $20k, and there's enough fans willing to pay for it, a company would pay for it. Studios can afford to spend $20k producing scenes if there was a case for it.

                              In real life the model would do it herself and sell it on OF.

                                      And how do studios want to figure out if there is a case for it or not?

                                      It's only possible to figure out with crowdfunding, if the amount is reached there is a case/demand and if not reached there isn't.

                                              No, just set a monetary fundraising goal. Not tied to any other function that I'm aware of.

                                              I dunno of any platform that has "unlock once $X is reached" for public publishing.

                                                  Someone tried porn crowdfunding years ago and I don't think it got anywhere. But, it wasn't for making enough money to create scenes, it was more for crowd funding a whole company/tube/affiliate program/manufacturing/etc kinds of things.

                                                      Yes I had pitched this to a few of the industry big players I have had long term relationships with as component of a larger "audience participation" adult platform. All I wanted was a tiny cut for brining the ideas and my tireless passion/hard work. Never got any interest. I don't have the funds to get it off the ground myself. I had predicted the DVD part of the industry would be hurting years before their sales took a dive. I also predicted the OF model years before it became a reality. I also predicted Brazzers type of explosion before I even met them and when I spent some time with some of those guys 18 years ago I knew they were gonna blast off. The platform I have an idea for could still be a huge hit. It's not just crowdfunding. There would be more participation from the consumer than on OF. Oh well I am fine with my life but when you see some of these guys lose millions on other business ideas it makes me wonder what could have been if I had been a better pitchman.

                                                          Yes you need a big player with range, anyway there could be legal issues to raise funds to motivate girls to engage into sexual actions they would otherise not do
