whats a good recipe to substitute for tomato sauce on the fly? i mean...in spaghetti that is Some kind of curry paste/hot sauce/mayonaisse/cheese mix? |

Okay. Don't panic. If you're having pasta, try this:
sour cream, half stick butter, 2 cloves garlic (or less depending on taste preference), pinch salt, sprinkle of either oregano or parsley whichever you prefer, and 1/3 cup of parmesan cheese. cook this until it's smooth (toss the parsley on as a garnish, last) Insta cheap alfredo sauce that actually tastes good. :thumbsup |

I'm still waiting to hear how it tasted, since honestly, food with no fat in them like the yogurt do not stand up to heat well at all...

Take some oil and garlic in a pan and sautee it and then add some oregano and basil and let that simmer and you have a perfectly good oil based sauce that tastes yummy! :thumbsup

Just heat olive oil, chopped garlic, a pinch of salt, butter and parsley. Mix the pasta into the pot so it really absorbs well. Then some grated parmesan on top and you're good to go.
Its the fastest sauce you can make and one of the best tasting. I've recently discovered a new pasta sauce that is ultra delicious.
