I Googled 'deepfake porn' and it's the usual top ten, with MrDeepFakes at the top still.

But then I Googled 'Scarlett Johansson deepfake porn' and all it contains is news results.

So it appears that Google are only downranking specific content terms, at least for now.

Google have resisted for years or decades the downranking of adult terms. Do you think this could set a precedent?

Never say never. This affects those who aren't using deep fakes with celebrities or people they know but rather creating images. Where it could be difficult is if they start moving to other search terms they deem offensive.

Is there a reason why fake porn should rank higher than real porn between consenting adults?

I will (try): No AI or fake porn should NOT be ranked above real live adult performers. The problem (as the latest ChatGPT demo just showed us) is that AI is coming on so fast now that within a few years (or less) AI may be indistinguishable from "real" videos.

People are already fooled to some extent but just wait for what is coming. So while the answer should be a loud HELL NO the answer is probably "it's inevitable".

None really. But the issue is Google deranking deepfake porn sites in searches for deepfake porn, not deepfake porn ranking above real and consensual porn.

That in itself might be a good thing, but it might also be the start of a slippery slope with Google deranking adult terms in general.

Also, deranking 'name + deepfake porn' results will indeed make it harder for porn surfers to find specific deepfake porn. But it will also make it harder for deepfaked individuals and celebs to find hosted deepfake porn content of themselves and have it removed.

i just have seen some of deepfake adult videos, and for me it makes no sense.
even though, there are normal videos on youtube, or tiktok where are ai generated includes, which piss me off, i just scroll next, the human content is more authentic and more emotional, i just don't like generated google voices, or other generated voices. even if they are close to real, it feels fake and disgusts me
