WOW, was I ever a newb
 

Going through all my postings I made here at gfy and man, up until 2 months ago, I was a fuckball.

It wasn't until I got in touch with sly (thanks for all your help bud, you really put me on the proper track) and left my shitty job that I got my shit in gear. It also helped talking to program webmasters/employees on icq. This gave me a great feel for this biz and I learned alot about their programs and sites.

I have spoken with over 50 in the past month alone about various shit. Alot of solid folks that rarely get any mention around here. I would list them all... but the ones I would ommit will take it to heart and make this an attack on them. So I won't say who.. the good fella's know who they are :) Lets just say there are still many webmasters who would just spam a url to me, tell me to signup and never answer my questions.


Now I have a handfull of program webmasters coming to me for advice on random shit... WTF?

It's pretty cool that people actualy take me seriously when looking for info or general help or just interesting ideas for shit now :)

I have learned SO MUCH in the past 2 months that I am geting ahead of myself. Time to pace myself. I have also dealt with alot of standup fellas and alot of idiots. The standup fellas have been patient with me while I got my bearings and they took me seriously and didn't fuck me around. For me the standup fellas will always have my time of day and interests in their programs.


What has brought you guys around to taking shit seriously and getting a good solid feel for the biz? Was it a helpfull sponsor? A fellow gallery/freesite builder? Or just someone random who knew what they were doign and gave you a chance? Who would you like to send special thanks out to?


Yes this is an asskissing thread. There has been so much negativity around here lately that I feel we need to get a grip on the good things for a change.

The pessimists can check their attitudes and negativity at the door. I want to see GOOD things come out fo this thread.
