is 24meg for 1 minute movie to much in mpeg-1? Can it be smaller in size?

What settings can I use to make it smaller?

I convert it directly from mpg-4 to mpeg-1 using pinnacle.

Try WinZip :1orglaugh

to make it smaller you can

- reduce with x height
- reduce number of frames used
- expand keyframe setting
- reduce bit rate

... does it have to be mpg?? from my expirience a DIVX avi gets even smaller ...

Well it´s for my uppcummng paysite and I understand that mpeg-1 is the format most OS support. without much trouble of installing codecs and shit.

... ok, I see ... you are doing the right thing then, a hacked DIVX compression is not supported by default .

... but you can always offer them a download option for the DIVX bundle, it´s up to you.

Nothing beats Cleaner. Quiet reccommended it to me a while back and its really the best for good results.

I use Windows Media Encoder (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...7/encoder.aspx) to make .wmv for windows users. And mpeg only as a option for other OS.

Well will save me space and work to make em all mpeg-1 and now I manage to get 1 minute down to 8 meg so thats pretty ok..and quality is great!

Mpeg 1 VCD is around 10 megs for 1 minute. The quality is enough to watch on the big screen even so try to do at least 10 megs or below.

Yepp I get em 8-10 meg a minute now..and quality is just fucking sweet.
