i was thinking maybe either this coming weekend or maybe the next about having a bbq for vegas webmasters, i see alot of you posting on here, but i dotn remeber meeting that many at internext, so this would be a chance to meet up eat, get drunk, and whatever else comes up.

i was thinking maybe having it at sunset park, but at this point its only a thought.

so if any vegas webmasters are interested leave a reply, as well as a good spot with shade to have a bbq outdoors.

once i have a pretty good idea of how many peopel will attend i can post the final details

Suggestion.....

Plan this at least a month out. I am sure there are other webmasters or industry types that would like to attend but that is pretty short notice...Not to mention that it may conflict with Montreal.

If the date works out right, I would want to go and I have been considering returning to Vegas for some shooting anyway.

don't be a cheapass. goto that meat restrauant in mandlay bay - it's awesome bbq with every kind of meat you can imagine.

well just lmk... i would come, and part of my office staff would come.. prolly 4-5 people total for me.

Do what DormAngels just did...Get people to sponsor the thing. There was a shitload of booze and a lot of leftovers too.

I'd like to meet with more Las Vegas based folks in the biz - it would be good to share some of our resources, and talk shop.

BBQ sounds cool... and a place like Sunset park might be a nice neutral location. No sense any one person or company getting stuck footing the bill...everyone can bring stuff. My wife makes a mean potato salad and I smoke some pretty good baby backs if I do say so... and make it byob :drinkup

I'm probably a little older than most of you guys, but it might be a good experience to exchange thoughts from our different perspectives.


I don't want to hijack the thread, but....

I'm curious if any of the LV webmasters are hosting out of the Collocation Solutions data center downtown... and if so who you are are using there for connectivity... I'm looking for someone reliable and trustworthy that is local in Las Vegas who can do network security and administration on my relatively small network of FreeBSD and Redhat machines.

I would also like to hear from Las Vegas programmers with good php, perl and C++ skills to work on and add to some existing programs, that I have source code rights on.

I'm growing very weary of dealing with unreliable people long distance... I would like to have some good face to face business relationships with people that I feel I really know and can trust.

These BBQ webmaster parties is a good trend, and having it in Vegas sounds very Fun. I'm with AarronM, give a little more notice and get some sponsors!:thumbsup
