yeh basically that was what it was about. they interviewed a 57 year old guy who just got out of jail for it. he was a well respected businessman with family etc. and then got done for that. he said the only reason he wants to stop is because he doesnt want to go back to jail and he doesnt think there is anything wrong with being sexually attracted to children.

I think he's right. People don't choose their sexual orientations (and pedophilia certainly seems to be one), so you can hardly blame them for having that particular proclivity.

Whether you can blame them for acting on it is another story. Society doesn't seem to want to give people like that any options other than acting out or total denial.. some would argue that latter precipitates the former.. so nothing really gets done to put a dent in the problem.

You just get a bunch of angry, emotional shreiking that solves nothing.

That goes for any crime. The American penal system (And probably most such systems worldwide) is worthless when it comes to preventing recidivism because there is no real rehabilitation. You just take them out of the public for a while, give them a taste of jail (which makes them meaner) and put them back on the streets.

it had some investigations unit posing as a 13 year old girl showing how many old hahahahas just talk about sex and trying to establish the most dangerous guys. etc etc. i think the main gist to the story was that there is so many of these guys that anyone could be a pedophile. u just dont know.
