Seriously, though, man, I feel ya, and believe me, if geting my degree was'nt so important, I'd have treated this job like any other; just up and split when I could'nt stand it anymore.
Fact is, though, since I'm putting myself through school, and the ride's not over, yet, I have to keep this up until adult can provide at least 6 months of steady compensation that exceeds what I make here at work.
Just has'nt happened yet, and I'm gaining a lot of weight and losing a lot of money while I'm waiting, too.

You know what, I feel like I keep bitching about this same thing every weekend I have to work overnights. While I spend damn near 80 hours a week working at home on my own computer instead of whoring. I sleep about 4 hours, and then wake up to visions of what I can add, or change, or manipulate to make it go faster/ do better.
Maybe I'm just not cut out for the industry. I dunno, but it's getting kind of uncomfortable to lay this shit out in the open.Comment

I too left my job for porn. I was making good money scrubbing up after politicians. Fucking shitty job, but it payed really fuckign well. I got so fed up with their shit that I was starting to lose it. It's pretty bad when you dream every night for a month about murdering your boss on his front lawn in front of his wife because he accused you of doing something that you have proof another employee did it yet refuses to take ya seriously because yer young. Not to mention the person who actualy did this shit was trying to get me fired. I was there before my boss even got into the cleaning biz... I could go on and on for 3 hours about everything those two assholes did to me.... That is STRESS!. I had enough, figured I'd rather live off the odd sale from porn than live comfortable and miserable. SO I left with 1 hour notice. I am starting to get close to what I was making while working a 'normal' job and the prospect for making double that are in my reach.
Hybrid, hold on as long as you can and leave when you have had enough, but make sure you have some type of backup plan in the adult biz that can get you through with necessities if you already arent making that much off it. But look at it this way, no dayjob = 8 more hours spent marketing and building = more $$$$$Comment

You can only do so much with the time you have. 4 hours of sleep per night is NOT enough to be thinking straight and making decisions that would maximize your bottom line. If/when you leave your job you will have time to sleep, socialise and build your adult biz to bigger and more productive things. When I was working full time and doing this on the side I was making 4 sales per month. I was miserable. It's still not a get rich overnight setup for me yet but it is building damn fast.
Your current situation is not cut out for this industry nor any home based biz. You basicaly have no life... no offence man, your a ncice guy... but imagine only having to do porn all day, being able to say 'fuck it' and go out for the night and not worry about having time to do up adult biz related shit and workign the next day at the office.
People who don;t have day jobs stressing them out can build faster with less hours worked than ppl with 4 hours of sleep and a full time day job and working 80 hours per week in teh adult biz at home.
Don't feel uncomfortable about laying this all out. Nothign wrong with being frustrated and looking for help.Comment

You've been getting some good advice here that you really need to seriously consider taking.
However, taking that step out the door can be seriously frightening. Can you really survive without a regular guaranteed income?
Well you might be able to do both, step out the door and have a steady income till you have your own business humming along.
There are people around here and on other boards offering jobs all the time. Look for one of those and even if you don't really need it to survive those sort of jobs can be great because they can teach you important lessons about parts of the industry that you may not know much about.Left intentionally blank ... just like my brainComment
