The original Matrix is a masterpiece. Matrix 2 and 3 are so... Didn't watch Matrix 4 though.

Definitely watch it. It is very different from the rest.

I saw some post recently that said "Although written in the late 1900s, some themes from The Matrix are still relevant today" :1orglaugh

Matrix was a great movie.

The Matrix trilogy is the best thing the Wachowski brothers (now sisters) ever did. Its entertaining and one of the top ten in my book.

But everything else they have done is pure horse shit and crap... It looks like the success of the Matrix was something outside their talent. I think its more about the camera movement and slow motion, the bullet time that was first shown there. So the credit should go to the people who created those features, not just the Wachowskis. We have seen their other movies, which were total failures and full of crap. If the camera and VFX team for The Matrix had been different and they hadnt come up with those revolutionary techniques, we could assume the Matrix would be just another pile of garbage like the rest of the Wachowski films.

Speed Racer!

I went to this movie on a date and we left after 30 minutes and went to Granville Island to The Keg.

I wonder if Fuzebox has been to this location, I feel like the Granville Island Keg is a special place for people who grew up in Vancouver. It was the best date place!

You could go here for dinner, then wander around spooky Granville island by night. Explore the waterpark, walk around looking in the windows of various artist shops, chase the rats that live under the pier directly below the Burrard street bridge. Or on an autumn night, the fog would roll in and it would be almost Londonesque with amber lamps off in the mist, and the bricks really echoed your date's walk if she wore a hard-soled heel.

Or, if re-written in the style of Alice Munroe:

For a quiet evening, one might consider partaking in a meal at a local eatery, followed by a leisurely stroll through the enigmatic alleys of Granville Island under the shroud of night. There, the waterpark offers a whimsical realm to explore, while the windows of assorted ateliers beckon passersby to peer into the artisans' creative sanctuaries. An audacious pursuit might involve the mischievous chase of the elusive rats that have taken up residence beneath the pier, a secret concealed beneath the expanse of the Burrard Street Bridge.

Yet, as autumn's embrace tightens, an atmospheric transformation unfolds. The fog, akin to a spectral curtain, rolls in with a quietude that bestows an almost ethereal ambiance, reminiscent of distant London streets. Amber-hued lamps, their glow diffused by the mist, cast an enchanting spell upon the scene. The very bricks beneath one's feet conspire with the evening, their echoes harmonizing with the rhythmic cadence of a companion's footsteps, especially if she chooses to adorn herself with hard-soled heels. Thus, the island's nocturnal tapestry unfurls, woven with threads of intrigue, romance, and the unforeseen.

Damn... based AI.

Loved the original. Did not see it until maybe 2002 or so, but love it again every time I bump into it.

Now, who's seen Ghost in the Shell?
