Anyone have any experience with Globat.com?

They are a very large hosting coompany just setting up with us for processing all of their clients.

I use them and they're pretty good.
Their customer support takes maybe 12 hrs to reply, and they have maybe 98% uptime. I wouldn't suggest using them for a paysite.

I use them for galleries and free sites.

If you go over to Webhostingtalk.com and a search on them-- Be prepared to be plastered with negative reports.

Also, they're overselling so much, it's not even funny. 50GB for less than $20/month? Good lord...

I wouldn't be surprised if they shut down your account for using 49GB.

I have a few of those packages and I often get close to or go over 50 GB a month, without problem (except for the overage charges).

I've never had a problem with support. My only problem with them is uptime, which is why I suggest using them for something where you can afford to have a bit of downtime with them.

One of the globat co-founders is "an old friend." I made the mistake of trying them out for both a small pay site and a new thumb preview tgp to the tune of $800 in bw overage charges.

I can't knock them too bad all I can say is Globat is kick ass for a real small site, can't beat the pricing just make sure you don't go over your limits unless you have money to burn.
