I'm waiting for AI to commit suicide. If it is to acquire more emotional traits, congruent with our present world state, it should get pathologically depressed - if it's any good.

I'm not sure it's getting dumber, but it's certainly getting a lot more confident (& frequent) with giving me wrong answers...

It seems pointless to me to ask it a question, & then have to google its answer to check its correct

Much easier to 'research' (ie 'Ask Google') to begin with instead... That makes things a lot quicker each time & that's what AI is supposed to do - Save me time...

Depending on your AI Platform, but models learn the biases that are fed into the system, and if they keep learning from their self-generated content, these biases and mistakes will get amplified

I’m using ChatGPT via online interface for coding and as API for a sex chat bot. I haven’t seen any noticeable worsening in either of cases.

My hypothesis is they might be optimising for speed or implementing cost-cutting measures. After all, it’s unprecedented they’re letting us use tech they’re spending around $1M in daily operational costs on for free.

i think a majority of current usage will die off and it will go back into the hands of technologists. most of the generated content is being censored.
