Tgp owners - question
 

Now that there are 1000's of hosted galleries out there why are you still listing other people's galleries and spend energy on reviewing, cheaters, etc.

Hosted galleries are clean, easy to get and every penny your surfer is willing to spend goes in your pocket instead of a submitters pocket.

There are enough hosted galleries to update your site daily i think.

Just wondering...

Surfers get sick of hosted galleries very quickly. Allowing some submissions keeps the site fresh and the bookmarkers where they should be.

But like i said, you can update your tgp daily with new hosted galleries...excuse my ignorance.

One sponsors hosted galleries all look the same. Surfers pick up on that shit and go elsewhere.

Excuse me if I got this wrong but isn't the hosted gallery coming from the guy with the paysite?

If he cannot design something to make the PAYING surfer happy the whole thing is pointless.

I keep saying that to myself daily. All TGP'S should be turned into AVS sites.

well personally I use a good number of hosted galleries but I also use a good number of submitted galleries simply because I can leave my hosted galleries up a few days longer without having to change them out (they are in a section at the bottom of my TGP all their own). It takes a while to change out my hosted galleries because i've got to go in and see how many thumbs there are and write a description for each one. I run 3 TGP's of my own and don't have time to do this on a large scale basis like everyday. That would mean I would have to do almost 800 galleries and view each one every day. If there was a service like freehosted galleries but they gave good descriptions of each gallery then I could do this every day but as it is there isn't a service that provides the hosted galleries plus incorporates a good solid description. FHG has a description but that's what the sponsor puts in there and sometimes they use the same description on several galleries and they usually aren't the kinds of descriptions i'm looking for anyway.

one of my tgp's is 100% hosted galleries. daily traffic is low, between 2000 and 5000.

bang bus galleries look pretty good, but don't sell worth shit (at least for me)

as soon as i come out of retirement, and stop being lazy i will be opening the site up for submissions again.

First I had a TGP with only hosted galleries. I wrote for every gallery a description etc. Just like a normal TGP.

The prod% was 110%. When I changed them into a real normal TGP, my prod increased to 210%......

Then I created my own galleries, and placed them on top. THat worked best for me....TRaffic and money wize

Hosted galleries do not have recips.
Submitted galleries have recips.
Google loves recips on galleries.
Your PR goes high and you get some extra SE traffic.

Regular submitters "made" our site.
I cant turn my back on those that have been sending me free content every day for 5 years.
