tgp owners, what do you do when you go on vacation?
 

and you can't update while youre away.
I'm going away and I dont have a laptop.

Do you just not update for a week? If you didn't update while you were gone did you notice a decline in traffic when you get back?

My sites autoupdate but still i like to keep an eye on trades

I usually check in at some cafes that have internet but I like to relax so I do that rarely

I remember the first time I took a trip I had my trade script send my cell phone hourly updates :1orglaugh

Now I just tell one of my friends to keep an eye on it -- if anything really bad happens then I'll find out...

Thats easy... Sleep, Eat, Drink plenty of Booze and Have Crazy Sex with Hot Babes that I'll probably never see again. :thumbsup

Buy a cheap laptop or find a trusted friend to handle your updates.

There are a few scripts out there that will update for you ;)

I don't run TGP's anymore, but I do run an intense business.

I take my laptop, which I replaced my desktop with. Never mabe a better decision. Not only is it twice the machine my old desktop was, it's highly portable.

If there is some kind of wreck.. like for instance sql or html goes down, I have the http://www.alertra.com robot call my sms.

If I need to, I have a couple of trustworthy guys that have access to my admin areas.

One is my close friend and host, and the other is a webmaster I trained in the business a while back. I do the same for both of them when they're gone.

Those are a couple of options you can look into, besides and auto updating TGP, like "Comus Thumbs" (http://www.nibbi.net/scripts ).

Otherwise, the sky will not actually fall in ya know ;)....

well like the others said, you can leave it alone for the week, ask a trusted friend to do it or you can set it to auto approve galleries for the week if you trust your submitters or even ask someone at the expo to let you borrow their comp for a few minutes to go in and do your updating.
