WSB... Down the toilet..... Is ibill next?

I can't help but think.... Is ibill next?

I know lensman has repeatedly said that they are fine... but i'm starting to wonder....

I remember how all the trouble started with WSB... trouble with banks and such.... and now ibill is having trouble is their eu banks.....

eRock 05-22-2003 07:25 PM

I think WSB was just spending all our money. I mean, where did all that money go?

scoreman 05-22-2003 07:26 PM

No, id be more worried if i was using Jettis.

be very careful what you wish for

tony286 05-22-2003 09:10 PM

ibill isnt going anywhere, you got remember out of all the third party processors , they are the only one ran by a big company. That company reported for the first quarter a profit of 65.2 million dollars (even after the MC fine) up 62.4% from first quarter 2002 40.2 million. Money isnt a problem, they are big now thats why you dont see their CEO on the board. They are cleaning things up, getting rid of problem webmasters, now it costs $15 dollars for a cb and they upped the percentage. They are working on making ibll profitable. This isnt Mom/ Pop which is good and bad. The bad is no personal service like ccbill and epoch, the good is they have lots of cash. My checks come like clock work and cash everytime.

ajthegreat 05-22-2003 09:11 PM

I hope those lying bastards go under too. For 2 months they lied to me that the wire was sent, then they just flat ass refused to pay. Really wish I had recorded the conversation when the premiums department told me my wire had already went out.

PostWhore 05-22-2003 09:11 PM

funny how Lensman protects iBill...

Tony where you been the past three years? Big companies can go flipity dipity too. American Airlines just narrowly missed going belly up and the situation is still fluid.

Things can change overnight in this industry. Companies with huge followings have come and gone and I'md sure we haven't seen the last of it.

The only thing you can reliably bank on is change. So prepare for it and diversify so you have hedged bets all over. Whatever you do, don't put all your eggs with one sponsor, or one processor, or one whatever. Spread and protect.

tony286 05-22-2003 09:21 PM

Thats why I signed up for Stormpay baby :) Also the first check that doesnt come I will have a new processor the next day and incentives for my members to move.Homey dont play lol.

sweetcuties 05-22-2003 09:29 PM

Bottom line, save and bank your $$... there's no guarantee about tomorrow. I spent 100k last yr on dumb shit and I don't have that much to show... BANK, BANK, BANK!!!!

ajthegreat 05-22-2003 09:30 PM

I think unless you are using DMR or Lancelet Security for your processing you are all fools :winkwink:

Hey KRL _ I will have to call you out here

The BIG difference between iBill and American Airlines is that iBill is owned by InterCept that keeps making good profits (including this last year).

You really cannot compare the two buddy

My 2 Cents: I think that Visa and MasterCard are going to reduce the number of IPSP's in the market place and only deal with the stronger companies that attempt to work within their guidleines (or some more major lawsuits).

Maybe he was referring to the fact that Jettis, like iBill and Epoch is one of the processors that received a hefty credit card fine.

There is also another thread on Jettis concerns here:

That's no joke ibill has the absolute WORST support and PR i have ever had to deal with and seen in this biz.

Also i remember when i was a newbie and epoch took months to send me my checks... anyone remember this? Was like 2-3 years ago and now everyone seems to love them... why do you handle you own payouts with them or they finally send checks out on time?
