Last night, its that rap / poetry reading thing for black people i guess.

Well, smokey robinson made a surprise visit and read a poem for about 30 minutes regarding the history and mistreatings of black people yada yada yada


Anyhow he went on to say how Adam & Eve were either both black, or atleast one of them ... so it means TECHNICALLY we are ALL black!

By the end of the poem i was looking for my black glove and reading up on where to find some good NCAAP articles to read!

He had me convinced i was black, LOL!!!!

His poem and story behind it were well thought out, and i really liked the way he put some things.

There was a bit where he said "black people are out of there minds calling themselves african american" He goes on to say "if any of these black guys go to africa or the mother land, they would be sent right back here ... africa would never accept the type of people we breed here"

The point behind it, or his "summery" was leading to this:

Black people, quit switching the name people call us every damn 2 months. We arent Colored People, we arent "Brotha's" we arent "negro's", we arent "******s" ... what we are is BLACK and you act ashamed to hear it! When someone calls you black, you should smile and be proud!

Then he says:

And since we call each other "nigga" out of affection, allow me to use it in my poem by saying "NIGGA PLEASE!!! BE BLACK, AND BE PROUD!!"
